O presente estudo analisa a composição e a estrutura da regeneração de espécies nativas arbóreas em um povoamento de acácia-negra, estabelecido há 16 anos em área ripária, e verifica a possibilidade da acácia-negra constituir-se numa invasora desse ambiente. O estrato arbóreo (circunferência a 1,3 m de altura (CAP) ≥15 cm) foi avaliado em 12 parcelas de 100 m2, alocadas em quatro blocos perpendiculares a maior pendente da área. O estrato de regeneração natural (0,3 m de altura a CAP <15 cm) foi amostrado em duas subparcelas de 9 m2, demarcadas em vértices opostos de cada parcela. O estrato arbóreo apresentou 26 espécies de 14 famílias e o estrato de regeneração natural 49 espécies de 23 famílias. O índice de diversidade de Shannon para espécie, considerando as parcelas como um todo, foi de 2,60 e 3,06 para os estratos arbóreo e de regeneração natural respectivamente. Entre as espécies nativas, Casearia sylvestris, Myrsine lorentziana e Zanthoxylum petiolare apresentaram o maior valor de importância no estrato arbóreo e Faramea marginata, Myrsine lorentziana e Myrcia glabra a maior densidade no estrato de regeneração natural. As características ecológicas das espécies encontradas nos diversos estratos de altura indicaram que o processo de sucessão florestal está em evolução. A acácia-negra não se regenerou na área e as árvores plantadas estão em senescência, sendo encontradas somente cem plantas/ha, que representa apenas 4,5% da população original. Dessa forma, a acácia-negra não se constitui numa possível invasora desse ambiente.
ResumoComposição florística e estrutura de floresta em várzea alta estuarina amazônica. O presente estudo foi desenvolvido objetivando avaliar a composição florística e a estrutura de floresta de várzea alta do estuário amazônico. Uma parcela amostral de 1,0 ha, dividida em subparcelas de 20 x 50 m, foi instalada no Bailique/AP, furo do Mazagão/AP e rio Maniva/PA, e medidos os indivíduos com DAP ≥ 5 cm. Foram identificados 69 espécies e 60 gêneros de 29 famílias, sendo que 21 espécies foram comuns aos três locais e 24 a apenas um dos três locais. As famílias mais abundantes foram: Arecaceae com 416 plantas/ha (50,4%), com a espécie Euterpe oleracea Mart., 207 plantas/ha (25,1%) e Astrocaryum murumuru Mart. 160 plantas/ha (19,4%); Caesalpiniaceae com 95 plantas/ha (11,5%) com a espécie Mora paraensis Ducke, 82 plantas/ha (9,9%) e família Mimosaceae com 83 plantas/ha (10,0%), com a espécie Pentaclethra macroloba (Willd.) Irecê Bezerra Colares 5 RESUMOCom o objetivo de estimar a variabilidade genética e ganhos de seleção em caracteres de frutos em açaizeiros, foram avaliadas 68 progênies provenientes de coleta em populações do município de Afuá e instaladas no Amapá. O experimento foi instalado em blocos ao acaso com duas repetições e quatro plantas úteis por parcela. Foram avaliados os caracteres: diâmetro longitudinal do fruto (DLF); maior diâmetro transversal do fruto (DTMA); menor diâmetro transversal do fruto (DTME); massa de cem frutos (P100) e massa total de frutos no cacho (PTC). Há diferenças significativas entre progênies, o que denota possibilidade de ganhos com a seleção. Em geral, as herdabilidades na média de progênies foram de médias a altas para os caracteres, mas sempre menor para PTC. A relação CVg/CVe foi favorável em DMA e DTME e desfavorável para PTC; as correlações entre os caracteres foram positivas e significativas; o ganho de seleção foi de 16,65% para PTC e entre -1,29% e -7,60%, nos demais caracteres; as progênies selecionadas conseguiram associar os valores desejados nos caracteres avaliados. As conclusões obtidas foram de que há elevada contribuição ambiental na manifestação fenotípica das progênies, sendo que as dimensões métricas dos frutos sofreram menores efeitos ambientais e maior efeito genético; há possibilidade de ganhos genéticos importantes aos programas de melhoramento genético da espécie utilizando-se os caracteres de forma simultânea, apesar dos valores obtidos terem sido baixos, principalmente devido à presença de correlações positivas, nas quais há preferência da redução do tamanho do fruto com aumento de produtividade. ABSTRACTThe objective of this article was to estimate the genetic variability and selection gain in the characters related with fruits in assai palms, 68 progenies collected in populations from Afuá city and planted in Amapá state were evaluated. The experiment was conducted in random blocks with two replications and four useful plants per plot. The following characters were evaluated: fruit longitudinal diameter (DLF), the fruit greatest transversal diameter (DTMA), the smallest fruit diameter (DTME); mass from one hundred fruits (P100) and, in bunches: total fruit mass (PTC). There are differences between progenies, denoting the possibility of selection gains. In general, the inheritabilities were medium or high for the characters, but always lower for PTC. RESUMO:O fruto do açaizeiro (Euterpe oleracea) é uma das principais fontes alimentares nos Estados do Pará e Amapá, despertando interesse de consumo em outras regiões e países. Por esse motivo, foram avaliadas 75 progênies coletadas de diferentes populações oriundas do Afuá, Estado do Pará, cultivadas no Campo Experimental de Mazagão, Estado do Amapá, em relação a caracteres vegetativos que possam resultar em melhor desenvolvimento da planta e refletir em maiores produções. O delineamento adotado foi o de blocos ao acaso com duas repetições. Os resultados permitem concluir que existem diferenças entre as progênies para a quantidade de brotações, porém, ao atingir a maturidade há um processo natural em que essas diferenças são eliminadas nas plantas adultas, indicando haver maior variabilidade nas plantas jovens que nas adultas; a relação CVg/CVe e os valores de herdabilidade mostram que a seleção pode ser dificultada; as correlações confirmam que deve ser desenvolvido e realizado o manejo de perfilhos (jovens e rebentos), em decorrência da tendência de efeitos negativos destes sobre os demais caracteres; os valores estimados de correlações fenotípicas, genotípicas e residuais demonstram que os fatores ambientais contribuem para a variabilidade da espécie e a análise de agrupamento permitiu a formação de grupos dissimilares úteis para orientar futuros cruzamentos.Palavras-chave: Açaizeiro, desenvolvimento sustentável da Amazônia, melhoramento genético, parâmetros genéticos, teste de progênies. PHENOTYPIC AND GENOTYPIC CHARACTERIZATION OF Euterpe oleracea PROGENIES COLLECTED FROM AFUÁ-PARÁ IN THE AMAPÁ CONDITIONS INTRODUÇÃOEuterpe oleracea Mart., conhecida como açaizeiro, é uma espécie nativa da Região Amazônica encontrada nas várzeas do estuário, com seu fruto, o açaí, possuindo inestimável importância socioeconômica nos Estados do Pará e do Amapá por constituir uma das principais fontes alimentares dos ribeirinhos e nas cidades.Sua composição é caracterizada por um elevado teor de lipídios, proteínas, fibras e antocianinas. Na região Sul do Brasil, o consumo é crescente, tendo como atrativos o fato de ser um alimento com apelo ecológico, oriundo da região amazônica, e energético (ROGEZ, 2000). Essas características interessantes sugerem prognósticos de crescimento de exportação da polpa de açaí, inclusive para os mercados de elevado poder aquisitivo do Hemisfério Norte.
O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a freqüência, a intensidade e o padrão de invasão da acácia-negra em ambientes campestres e propor medidas de monitoramento e controle. Foram avaliados sete ambientes localizados em áreas a menos de 30 m de povoamentos jovens (1 ano) e adultos (5 anos). A invasão da acácia-negra esteve relacionada ao grau de perturbação do solo. A Área de Preservação Permanente (APP) em recuperação, o ambiente mais perturbado, apresentou também o maior número de invasoras, sendo encontradas 152 plantas/0,1 ha. Em ambientes pouco perturbados, como o banhado, campo nativo e APP sem uso recente, verificou-se menos de 11 plantas/0,1 ha. Foi verificado um maior número de invasoras nas áreas mais próximas de povoamentos jovens (50 plantas/0,1 ha) que de plantios adultos (10 plantas/0,1 ha), indicando que perturbações que resultaram em invasão foram as causadas principalmente por máquinas durante a colheita e estabelecimento da nova rotação. A ocorrência de novas invasões durante o ciclo de crescimento do cultivo foi insignificante (<1 plantas/0,1 ha). A mortalidade no período de um ano foi de 80,4, 14,0, 6,8 e 5,5 %, respectivamente, para plantas <0,5, 0,5 a 1,9, 2,0 a 4,0 e >4,0 m de altura, reduzindo significativamente a população de invasoras nos anos seguintes à invasão. A invasão da acácia-negra está condicionada a perturbações no solo, por isso deve ser considerada uma invasora causal de ambientes campestres.
