Coupled cells systems are extensively used with the aim to generate oscillation patterns that reproduce natural phenomena. Under invariance by a certain group, these patterns can be predicted using the theorem proposed by Golubitsky and Buono. In the present work it was made a simplified study of a system of 4 cells invariant under D 4 . From the behavior of the solutions of a set of equations which is equivariant under action of this group was possible to observe numerically the spatial symmetries and spatiotemporal symmetries coming from the cell-system invariance. Keywords: symmetry, cells, coupling.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
