A new genus and species of tarsonemid mite, Crossacarapis eickworti, is described from females phoretic on a bee of the genus Euglossa from Brazil. The new taxon is most similar to the genus Pseudacarapis Lindquist, also associated with apid bees. RESUMEN -Un nuevo genero y especie de tarsonemido, Crossacarapis eiclcworti, es descrito de hembras foreticas encontradas sobre una abeja del genero Euglossa recolectada en Brasil. Este nuevo taxon es semejante al genero Pseudacarapis Lindquist, que tambien fue recolectado sobre abejas de la familia Apidae.
