ABSTRACTWith the increase of the world population the researchers are worried about the scarcity of natural resources, mainly with the increase of the demand of water, this is the main focus of this research. There are about 1.35 million cubic kilometers of water on the planet, but of this total 97.5% is salt water, 2.5% is located in regions of difficult access such as aquifers and frozen in glaciers and 0.007% in places (UNIÁGUA, 2006), are worrying data since each year that passes this value only decreases and consumption increases, moreover we all know that water is indispensable in human life . Thus, there is a need to search for new solutions to this problem, trying to find an easier way that does not harm the environment, such as the search for water over long distances, exaggerated extraction of surface and underground water sources. An alternative is the capture of rainwater, which in addition to obtaining water without having to carry it, that is, in a very simple way, it helps to control the flow of this water in the streams and to reduce the number of floods in the city, it is also a sustainable way and a way to make the population aware of reducing consumption and avoiding the waste of this precious and scarce commodity.KEY WORDS: scarcity, water, rainwater ha...
