Research should be focused on topics that are appropriate to the needs of the times so that the results of the research can be applied. Students in completing their studies are required to make final assignments in the form of research. Therefore, this study aims to identify the tendency of research of the Physics Education students Indicator the last five years and to determine the theme of educational research studies that allows for further study by Physics Education students in the future. This research was conducted in physics education program with research objects were taken from the written thesis of 2013 until 2017. This research design is a case study with data analysis technique of descriptive qualitative and quantitative. this study found the theme of research studies most studied by Physics Education students were a model of learning and research studies that may still be studied further, namely the evaluation of learning, learning media, and learning strategies on subjects other than temperature and heat and static fluids. The results of this study can be used as a consideration to determine the topic of the thesis and reduce the risk of plagiarism and increase the variety of research in the environment of the study program.Keywords: Physics Research, Research, Students' Researchers, Trend analysis
The purpose of this study is to discover the improvement in students’ problem solving abilities after learning activities through a simple harmonic motion experiment method using an accelerometer sensor on an smartphone and revealing student responses on it. Pre-experimental research design with one group pretest-posttest design was used in the study. The samples in this study were students of Class X IPA 1 of SMAN 1 Cilimus Kuningan, West Java. Data on the improvement of students’ problem solving abilities were obtained through an essay test while the student’s response data was obtained through the distribution of response questionnaires. The results showed that the problem-solving ability experienced by students increased in the moderate category. Whereas, the results of the responses of students showed that most of the students responded positively to the learning activities of the sensor accelerometer on this smartphone. So, experiment with smartphone has a potential for improving students problem solving skills.
This study aims to analyze the usability of Google Form as an online learning assessment tool. This study uses a quantitative approach through survey methods. Respondents in this study were teachers from various levels of education ranging from elementary to high school levels and from various subjects. The respondents' answers were collected by using a Google Form questionnaire. The analysis results show that using Google Forms is the most straightforward alternative for conducting online assessments. Assessment through Google Form has the principle of being an open system, so it takes the ability to use it. The novelty in this study is to determine the proficiency of Google Forms as an assessment tool during the COVID-19 pandemic and teacher perceptions of the assessment principles using Google Forms. Using Google Forms as an assessment tool during the Pandemic requires additional teachers' competencies for designing a better assessment process. Thus, the comparison of the assessment principle with the assessment process using Google Form to conduct a Pedagogical Review can be considered in designing an assessment using Google Form.
Doppler effect is the physical phenomena in which the emitted frequency is a source of change at a time when accepted by the detector due to relative movement of the detector towards the source of the wave or vice versa. This research aims to identify the Doppler effect symptoms by utilizing sensors found in smartphones. This research uses experimental method that combine the mechanical instruments and microphone smartphone sensor as measurement tool. The mechanical instruments used are a smartphone with the help of frequency sound generator software, Physics Toolbox, the camera as an instrument of data collectors, and Tracker as a motion analyzer software. Based on the results of the experiments, the author retrieved the value of the error and the standard deviation of each of the observed symptoms. The symptoms of Doppler effect upon source moving closer and moving away when the silent observer shows the error value of 0.04 % and 0.1185 % respectively with a standard deviation of 0.018 and 1.005. In addition, the experiment on Doppler effect as the source is staying still and as the observer approaching the source provides error value of 8.60 % and standard deviation of 13.501. As for the experiment on Doppler effect as the source and the observers are approaching each other displays the error value of 4.31 % and the standard deviation of 0.087. Overall, this experiment generates error value of 3.267 % and standard deviation of 3.665, inferring that the experiments conducted are accurate and precise in representing the Doppler effect phenomenon. Based on the results of this experiments, the researcher recommends to carry out practicum on Doppler effects with the help of smartphone sensors.
This research aims to describe the state of readiness of physics teachers' candidates are graduate from PTKIN to greet corporate world, especially in education. Aspects of observed in this research is effect of skill of laboratory processing and science literacy of quality physics teacher's candidate. The research was conducted by collecting related management data capabilities of laboratory and science literacy of students as graduate by PTKIN and to be a teacher. Subjects in the research are students of physical education at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung in three batches. The data in this research were collected by spearing the instruments in the form of a multiple-choice test and essay for determine the ability of students theatrically in the terms of management of laboratory and science literacy. Second instrument was a questionnaire the contains of the questionnaire were statements about attitude to do prospective teachers in the implementation of learning. The collected data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis to determine the effect of skill of laboratory processing(X1) to readiness professional physics teacher (Y) and the same analysis was also conducted to clarify the effect of the science literacy (X2) to readiness professional physic teachers (Y). The result of this research is expected to be referenced to make improvements in the course have a planning for prepare professional physic teachers. Generally, the research gives a conclusion that laboratory processing capability and science literacy do not give effect to readiness become a professional pre-service physics teacher.
