Raman spectroscopy is performed to disclose struchiral properties of porous carbon samples including lignocellulosic biomass. Analysis of spectral statures of carbon, around 1350 cm"1 and 1580 cm"1, indicates higher porosity for the biomass sample.
<p>An experimental validation of flatness measurement based on image processing technique has been performed. The purpose of this study is to know the performance of the image processing technique in the flatness measurement. In addition, this technique will be used as development of current measurement technique that is performed manually. The advantage of using this method is that in the future the measurement system will run semi-automatically, so it can increase the capacity. This study is used 3 samples of optical flat with different in diameter (i.e. 25 mm, 45 mm, and 75 mm). The validation has been performed by comparing measurement results of the image processing technique and the manual technique through degree of equivalence evaluation. The error numbers based on the degree of equivalence criteria between the image processing technique and the manual technique for the flatness measurement of 25 mm, 45 mm, and 75 mm are 0.02, 0.09, and 0.11 respectively. According to those error numbers, the image processing technique measurement results is in agreement with the manual technique. Moreover, those results have validated that the image processing technique has good performance and can potentially be implemented to the flatness measurement.</p>
Salah satu cara untuk menjamin mutu hasil pengukuran di laboratorium kalibrasi adalah dengan melakukan uji banding dengan laboratorium yang memiliki lingkup sebanding. Puslit Metrologi LIPI (RCM-LIPI) sebagai lembaga metrologi nasional (NMI) telah mengikuti uji banding pengukuran internasional di berbagai bidang pengukuran dengan lembaga-lembaga metrologi nasional lainnya. Tahun 2010 uji banding internasional di bidang kekasaran permukaan APMP.L-K8 dilakukan, RCM-LIPI menjadi salah satu dari 10 negara peserta yang memiliki data pencilan dari total 16 peserta. Data pencilan RCM-LIPI terjadi pada 3 dari 5 artefak. Tercatat juga bahwa 6 peserta tidak melakukan pengukuran softgauge. Tulisan ini membahas hasil investigasi data hasil uji banding RCM-LIPI pada APMP.L-K8. Terjadi kesalahan pada penggunaan calibration factor serta kesalahan penentuan panjang traced profile. Verifikasi hasil investigasi dilakukan dengan mengukur kembali artefak yang digunakan dalam APMP.L-K8. Analisis nilai En RCM-LIPI terhadap KCRV menunjukkan penurunan jumlah pencilan dari 11 menjadi 1 parameter yaitu Mr1. Selain itu, dijelaskan juga mengenai metode untuk melakukan pengukuran softgauge.
