As informações das características hidrogeomorfométricas e da dinâmica de cobertura do solo de microbacias são fundamentais para o planejamento adequado do uso da terra. Portanto, objetivou-se com este trabalho analisar as características geométricas, topográficas, hidrográficas e a dinâmica de cobertura do solo da microbacia e zona ripária do rio Formoso utilizando ferramentas geotecnológicas e equações. A microbacia tem área de 12,63 km2, perímetro de 21,53 km, forma alongada, baixa susceptibilidade a enchentes, altitudes de 261 a 368 m, predominância de relevo suave ondulado, 89,87% da área com baixa influência na propagação de incêndios e 96,75% variando de apta a extremamente apta à mecanização agrícola, padrão de drenagem dendrítico de 3ª ordem, suscetível a secagem durante o período de baixa pluviosidade, baixa densidade de nascentes, média densidade de drenagem, coeficiente de manutenção de 829,8 m2 m-1, canal principal muito reto e tempo de concentração de 1,83 h. No período de 37 anos, a área da cobertura de floresta nativa foi reduzida constantemente, passando de 100%, em 1984 para 19,48% e 67,35% da microbacia e da zona ripária, respectivamente em 2021. Em contrapartida, constatou-se o crescimento da área de agropecuária, que atualmente (2021) ocupa 80,52% da área da microbacia e 32,65% da zona ripária. O avanço da agropecuária sobre a zona ripária, ilustra a urgência da execução de ações visando a recomposição da vegetação nativa, o equilíbrio dos ecossistemas e a manutenção dos corpos de água da microbacia.
A caracterização da paisagem da microbacia com o uso do sensoriamento remoto é essencial para o planejamento e conservação dos recursos naturais. Assim, objetivou-se com o presente trabalho realizar o levantamento das características da paisagem da microbacia do rio Jabuti e gerar dados para o desenvolvimento agropecuário sustentável. Os estudos geométricos, topográficos, hidrográficos e da dinâmica da cobertura vegetal foram realizados com o uso dos softwares QGIS, Google Earth e TrackMaker Free, imagens altimétricas (satélite ALOS) e de cobertura do solo (satélites Landsat 5 e Landsat 8), e análise da literatura. A área da microbacia é de 15,72 km2, perímetro de 20,06 km, formato alongado. Com base nas características geométricas a microbacia apresentou de baixa a média suscetibilidade a enchentes. A altitude foi de 266 a 349 m, o relevo predominantemente é suave ondulado (46,37%), seguido de ondulado (34,67%) e plano (15,39%), 89,44% da área apresentou baixo risco para propagação de incêndios e enquadrou-se como apta a extremamente apta a mecanização agrícola. A rede de drenagem é de 36,07 km com padrão dendrítico de 4ª ordem, densidades de nascentes média, densidade de drenagem alta, coeficiente de manutenção de 435,8 m2 m-1, canal principal muito reto e tempo de concentração baixo. A microbacia apresenta alto potencial para o desenvolvimento de atividades agropecuárias e de piscicultura, porém há a necessidade de adoção de práticas conservacionistas e estudos detalhados do ecossistema aquático. Sugere-se estudos para recuperação da vegetação nativa, principalmente em áreas de reserva legal.
O uso e manejo inadequado do solo compromete a integridade dos recursos naturais, e, consequentemente, a possibilidade de desenvolvimento sustentável na região amazônica. Para mitigar esse problema em áreas já impactadas, é necessário um planejamento ambiental que considere as características da paisagem. Em face ao exposto, objetivou-se com o presente trabalho, disponibilizar as informações sobre as características hidrogeomorfométricas e da dinâmica da cobertura do solo na microbacia do rio Ariranha. Os dados foram obtidos por sensoriamento remoto em conjunto com equações. A microbacia tem área de 41,79 km2, perímetro de 39,14 km, forma alongada, altitudes de 186 a 230 m, relevos planos a forte ondulados, 99,62% da área classificada como de baixa influência na propagação de incêndios e apta a extremamente apta à mecanização agrícola, rede de drenagem dendrítica, presença de rios pequenos com moderadas condições para habitação de peixes, baixa densidade de nascentes, média densidade de drenagem, coeficiente de manutenção elevado, canal principal reto e médio tempo de concentração. De 1984 a 2021, houve o aumento das áreas de água e agropecuária, e a redução das áreas de floresta nativa e campo nativo, na microbacia e na zona ripária. A microbacia tem potencial para o desenvolvimento de atividades agropecuárias, contudo, o desmatamento excessivo da vegetação nativa, principalmente na zona ripária, está comprometendo a qualidade e a disponibilidade hídrica. Portanto, é necessário adotar medidas mitigadoras para reduzir o impacto da ação antrópica nos recursos hídricos (ex: recuperação da vegetação nativa na zona ripária).
A análise dos potenciais e fragilidades dos recursos naturais é essencial para a elaboração do planejamento ambiental e, consequentemente, para o desenvolvimento sustentável. Assim, objetivou-se com o trabalho, analisar as características da paisagem da microbacia Rio das Garças, Amazônia Ocidental, Brasil. As características da paisagem foram analisadas por ferramentas de sensoriamento remoto e equações, e interpretadas de acordo com a literatura. A microbacia Rio das Garças tem área de 14,21 km2, perímetro de 21,1 km, forma alongada, altitudes de 260 a 349 m, relevos planos a forte ondulado, 77,83% da área classificada como de baixa influência na propagação de incêndios e apta a extremamente apta à mecanização agrícola, padrão de drenagem dendrítico, elevadas condições para habitação de peixes (5ª ordem de drenagem), densidade de nascentes muito alta (16,68 nascentes km-2), densidade de drenagem muito alta (4,62 km km-2), baixo coeficiente de manutenção (216,5 m2 m-1), índice de sinuosidade de 28,66% e baixo tempo de concentração (2,23 h). No período de 1984 a 2021, ocorreu a conversão de parte da área da floresta nativa para área de agropecuária, de modo que, esta última classe chegou a ocupar 51,23% da área da microbacia e 45,72% da área da zona ripária no último ano. A microbacia Rio das Garças tem potencial para o desenvolvimento de agropecuária, porém, é necessário recuperar a vegetação nativa na zona ripária e adotar práticas conservacionistas nos sistemas de produção para mitigar os impactos desta atividade nos recursos naturais.
O conhecimento detalhado das paisagens em microbacias hidrográficas são fundamentais para avaliação dos impactos ambientais causados por ação humana e tomada de decisões sobre os recursos naturais. Nesse contexto, objetivou-se com o presente estudo analisar e disponibilizar informações sobre as características geométricas, topográficas, hidrográficas e a dinâmica de cobertura do solo da microbacia do rio Jaçanã. Para a análise dos dados, foi utilizado geotecnologias e equações. A microbacia tem área de 149,94 km2, perímetro de 79,30 km, formato alongado, baixa susceptibilidade a enchentes (ponto de vista geométrico), altitudes entre 181 a 247, predominância de relevos suave ondulado e plano, rede de drenagem de 129,82 km, padrão dendrítico de 4ª ordem, densidade de nascentes baixa e densidade de drenagem média, canal principal reto, coeficiente de manutenção de 1.155 m2 m-1 e tempo de concentração de 11,63 h. Entre 1988 a 2021, a cobertura de floresta nativa foi reduzida de 140,09 km2 (93,43%) para 84,35 km2 (56,26%) na microbacia e, de 15,29 km2 (63,18%) para 10,88 km2 (44,6%) na zona ripária, em função do avanço da agropecuária. A microbacia tem potencial para o desenvolvimento da agropecuária, contudo, considerando a legislação vigente que trata da proteção da vegetação nativa no país e expansão de áreas antropizadas, concluímos que há uma necessidade imediata na execução de planos de recuperação da vegetação nativa na microbacia, especialmente na zona ripária, para garantir a manutenção, qualidade e a disponibilidade dos recursos naturais.
