ResumenRealizar una acción de movilidad requiere la puesta en práctica de competencias de diversa índole, entre ellas, las vinculadas con la toma de decisiones y la gestión de la información. La orientación, entendida como un proceso continuo a lo largo de la vida (Lifelong Guidance), se perfila en este contexto como uno de los factores necesarios para proporcionar a los estudiantes el apoyo y el asesoramiento que requieren en su proceso de toma de decisiones para afrontar con éxito las acciones de movilidad. Fomentar la intervención orientadora supone, además, avanzar hacia una mayor calidad de las instituciones de Educación Superior. Palabras clave: movilidad, Erasmus, orientación
AbstractPerform a mobility action requires the implementation of different competences, among which are those related to decision-making and information management. Orientation, understood as a continuous process throughout life (Lifelong Guidance), is profiled in this context as one of the necessary factors to provide students with the support and advice they require in the process of decision-making to address successfully the mobility actions. Encourage counseling intervention means also, move towards greater quality of Higher Education institutions.
RESUMENLa incorporación de las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación en la sociedad en general y en el sistema educativo, especialmente en la formación y orientación a lo largo de la vida de las personas, demanda cambios relevantes en los ámbitos tecnológicos y organizativos así como en los escenarios educativos y ambientes de aprendizaje y orientación formales y no formales.En el contexto europeo las transformaciones en amplios sectores sociales mediante las TIC no llegaron aún a generalizarse en los procesos formativos y orientadores.Entre las herramientas más innovadoras en el uso de las TIC en formación y orientación, además de las más conocidas como el teléfono, correo electrónico e Internet existen otras a subrayar como son la videoconferencia, chat y foro.Como instrumentos de software social se pueden citar el Blog, Twitter, Facebook, Flicker, Second Life, My Space… y otros recursos tecnológicos como son la pizarra interactiva, el portafolios y el sistema de gestión de contenidos (SGC).

RESUMENIntroducción: El intercambio y la movilidad de los jóvenes universitarios, como objetivos estratégicos del Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior (EEES), suponen una oportunidad para que la educación y la formación superior universitaria se adapten no solo a las premisas que establece el EEES sino también a las demandas de la sociedad y del ámbito laboral en Europa.Este artículo presenta el proceso y resultados de un estudio cuya finalidad es analizar la relevancia global y el grado de utilidad de las políticas de información y orientación relativas a las acciones de movilidad y programas de intercambio (Erasmus) desde la perspectiva del alumnado de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela. Efectuar una acción de movilidad requiere la puesta en práctica de competencias de diversa índole, entre las que se encuentran aquellas vinculadas con la gestión de la información y la toma de decisiones.Método: Para la recogida de datos se aplicó un cuestionario cuya muestra está constituida por 596 estudiantes universitarios decididos a llevar a cabo una acción de movilidad Erasmus en Europa. Los datos obtenidos mediante los cuestionarios fueron tratados con el programa estadístico informático SPSS 18.0.
