O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar a contribuição do IFRS Campus Bento Gonçalves na formação técnica e complementar voltada à área de turismo, importante setor de promoção e desenvolvimento cultural e socioeconômico na região da Serra Gaúcha. Para isso, foram analisados documentos e ações, relacionadas ao turismo, realizadas pela instituição, além da aplicação de questionário on-line enviado aos que concluíram o curso Técnico em Hospedagem, única oferta do eixo Turismo, Hospitalidade e Lazer no campus. A amostra corresponde a 68% dos egressos (N=31), sendo que, desses, 95,2% consideram que o curso gerou oportunidades profissionais. Os principais interesses em relação ao curso relacionam-se ao retorno aos estudos e a busca por qualificação na área do turismo. Apenas 38,1% estavam trabalhando no momento do início do curso – percentual que aumentou no decorrer e término do percurso formativo. Com relação às demais atividades ofertadas pela Instituição (cursos, palestras, projetos de ensino, pesquisa e extensão, entre outros), somente 38,1% dos egressos participaram dessas ações. Esse estudo possibilitou identificar a contribuição, em termos de qualificação, do IFRS Campus Bento Gonçalves com o desenvolvimento do turismo no município, ampliando sua representação em instâncias de discussão. Ainda assim, faz-se necessária a continuidade e incrementação da oferta de cursos e atividades para a comunidade em geral, especialmente no que tange à verticalização do ensino no Turismo, Hospitalidade e Lazer.
Este estudo tem como objetivo realizar um diagnóstico das iniciativas de prevenção e controle adotadas por empresas turísticas para enfrentamento da pandemia da COVID-19 no município de Bento Gonçalves, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. A metodologia é exploratória e descritiva, com coleta de dados primários, por meio de questionário on-line para identificar ações e procedimentos de higiene e segurança, além da presença de pessoas com sintomas de COVID-19 ou confirmados, entre março e junho de 2020. Foram utilizados dados secundários da Secretaria Municipal de Turismo e Secretaria Municipal de Saúde. O universo da pesquisa compreende 217 empreendimentos cadastrados no Alvará Turístico da Secretaria Municipal de Turismo. A amostra envolveu 136 estabelecimentos, sobretudo restaurantes e afins, vinícolas e meios de hospedagem, sendo que 58% da amostragem participa do programa Ambiente Limpo e Seguro. Dentre as principais ações de prevenção e controle, destaca-se: disponibilização de álcool em gel 70%, uso de ventilação natural e redução da capacidade máxima de atendimento. Entre as ações de higienização adotadas está a recorrente higienização de ambientes e equipamentos, bem como a limpeza frequente de pontos de contato. Durante o período, cinco participantes (3%) identificaram a presença de visitantes com COVID-19 e 10 (7%) identificaram colaboradores ou proprietários com sintomas. Por meio da realização de testes, 19 pessoas (colaboradores e proprietários), receberam a confirmação da COVID-19. Nesse decurso, nenhum deles foi hospitalizado ou foi a óbito. Os resultados demonstram a importância da adoção de protocolos de higiene e segurança no setor turístico, visando à retomada das atividades.
A pandemia Covid-19 vem gerando consequências em diversos setores da economia, inclusive no turístico. O presente artigo tem como objetivo identificar as medidas de prevenção adotadas no enfrentamento da mesma e a incidência de casos entre visitantes, colaboradores e proprietários de empreendimentos turísticos no município de Bento Gonçalves, Brasil. A pesquisa envolveu duas fases empíricas realizadas no ano de 2020, com a aplicação de dois questionários online quantitativos: diagnóstico para identificar casos da doença e medidas preventivas adotadas em 136 empreendimentos turísticos; e monitoramento semanal em 111 empreendimentos turísticos. Os resultados indicam a adoção de processos para prevenção e controle, tais como higienização frequente e disponibilização de álcool gel, e presença de 31 casos de Covid-19 no período analisado pela pesquisa. O estudo reforça a necessidade de adequações em protocolos de higiene e segurança nos empreendimentos, visando a retomada e continuidade das atividades no setor turístico.
