Neste trabalho objetivamos analisar os potenciais de uma proposta de Sequência de Ensino Investigativa (SEI) sobre a temática Radiação Ultravioleta desenvolvida com estudantes do Ensino Médio. O objeto de análise da pesquisa é composto da realização de um experimento utilizando luz negra e protetores solares com diferentes Fatores de Proteção Solar (FPS). Esta atividade foi desenvolvida com 36 alunos de duas turmas de 2º ano do Ensino Médio (EM) de uma escola pública no município de Campo Mourão/PR. A coleta de dados foi realizada a partir das produções dos alunos participantes da atividade, compostas por questões realizadas ao final da SEI. Para analisar essas respostas utilizamos os pressupostos da Análise Textual Discursiva (ATD). A atividade realizada possibilitou a argumentação científica e a interação entre os alunos e o licenciando, despertando o interesse pela Ciência e construção de conceitos acerca da Radiação UV. Os resultados apresentaram justificativas adequadas a respeito da utilização do protetor solar, destacando a importância do seu uso para evitar doenças de pele e a aprendizagem de conceitos físicos relacionados a radiação.
