Os indivíduos amputados contam cada vez mais com uma diversidade de tecnologia assistiva para colaborar no processo de readaptação social. Deste modo, este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a percepção de pessoas amputadas de membros inferiores quanto ao uso de tecnologia assistiva. Essa pesquisa é de caráter qualitativo, com uma amostra intencional de 10 participantes, sendo estas pessoas amputadas que utilizam tecnologia assistiva e que frequentam a Clínica de Fisioterapia e o Centro Especializado em Reabilitação II. Para a coleta de dados utilizou-se uma entrevista semiestruturado e analisadas com a Análise do Conteúdo Temática. Os resultados apontaram as categorias independência, extensão do corpo, orientações sobre utilização das tecnologias assistivas, lesões corporais, dificuldades de adaptação ao cotidiano e ergonomia do equipamento. O uso das tecnologias assistiva apresentou resultados satisfatórios em relação a autonomia e a participação social. A falta de orientações e de acompanhamento multiprofissional e um design inapropriado podem ser o causador lesões corporais e levar ao abandono da TA. Portanto, é imprescindível um cuidado integral as pessoas amputadas.

A avaliação da pessoa com deficiência é importante para determinar suas funcionalidades e incapacidades a fim de garantir uma abordagem no cuidado integral do sujeito. O método utilizado para organizar este pensamento é o modelo de Classificação Internacional de Funcionalidade, Incapacidade e Saúde (CIF). Objetivo: O objetivo deste trabalho foi de avaliar o nível de funcionalidade e incapacidade dos usuários do Centro de Especialização em Reabilitação Física e Intelectual (CER II) da região do médio vale do Itajaí. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo com abordagem quantitativa, participaram 19 usuários de ambos os sexos com idade igual ou superior a 18 anos, com multimorbidades que compareceram para consulta no CER II vinculada a Clínica de Fisioterapia da Univali no período entre outubro e dezembro de 2019. As informações foram coletadas através do questionário “World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule 2.0” (WHODAS 2.0). Resultados: A média geral do WHODAS foi de 2,40%. O domínio a atividade de vida diária teve a maior média de dificuldade (3,89%), seguido do domínio mobilidade (3,50%), domínio participação (2,61%), e o domínio autocuidado (2,29%). Os domínios relações interpessoais (1,38%), cognição (1,44%) tiveram maior funcionalidade. E 10 usuários (52,3%) apresentaram dificuldades em todos os 30 dias, 6 usuários (31,6%) responderam que não se sentiram completamente incapazes na realização de suas atividades de vida diária. Conclusão: Conclui-se que este estudo foi importante para a gestão do serviço conhecer as funcionalidades e incapacidades dos seus usuários através da percepção deles, e a partir destes resultados promover ações de cuidado integral de acordo com as diretrizes da rede de cuidado da pessoa com deficiência. Neste sentido, para maior eficácia seria interessante associar esse questionário a outros instrumentos.
O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a qualidade de vida dos usuários de cadeira de rodas e o grau de satisfação quanto ao uso da tecnologia assistiva. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva transversal, exploratória e quantitativa composta por 57 participantes, que responderam a três instrumentos: um questionário em relação ao perfil dos usuários de cadeira de rodas, o World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL-bref) e o Quebec User Evaluation of Satisfaction with Assistive Technology (QUEST 2.0). O nível de satisfação do usuário quanto ao recurso da tecnologia assistiva (TA) alcançou uma média de 3,05 e quanto ao serviço atingiram uma média de 2,71. Os itens que os cadeirantes estão mais satisfeitos são a eficácia (média de 3,42), facilidade de uso (média de 3,23) e dimensão (média de 3,11). Os itens de mais insatisfação são reparos e assistência técnica (média de 2,44), peso (média de 2,65) e serviço de acompanhamento (média de 2,75). A qualidade de vida geral e satisfação com a saúde obteve uma média de 4,09. O domínio físico alcançou a melhor média (3,62), seguido dos domínios meio ambiente (3,54) e psicológico (3,46), o domínio relações sociais apresentou a menor média (2,47). Conclui-se que a maioria dos usuários de cadeiras de rodas não estão satisfeitos com o serviço da TA, visto que muitos fatores relacionados a eles interferem nas relações sociais do cadeirante, tendo reflexo em sua qualidade de vida, uma vez que o domínio relações sociais apresentou a pior média.
O uso da cadeira de rodas pode vir carregado de significados peculiares que passam a circundar o mundo de quem necessita de tal tecnologia assistiva. Este estudo objetivou conhecer as representações sociais de pessoas com deficiência física sobre o uso da cadeira de rodas. A pesquisa foi de abordagem qualitativa por meio de entrevista semiestruturada com 10 pessoas com deficiência física que utilizavam tecnologia assistiva e que frequentavam uma clínica de Fisioterapia e um Centro Especializado de Reabilitação. A partir da análise dos resultados emergiu o bloco temático Representações sociais do uso da cadeira de rodas e as categorias: a dependência da cadeira e a independência funcional e a exclusão social diante do uso da cadeira. As formas de ver a utilização de tecnologias assistivas como a cadeira de rodas estão cercadas por conceitos e relações que demarcam a importância da atenção integral à saúde com vistas à inclusão social.
