Afecções oftálmicas oriundas de traumas ocorrem frequentemente em cães, dentre elas a proptose de globo ocular. Tal patologia tem caráter emergencial, e a abordagem imediata após estabilização do paciente deve ser realizada para melhor prognóstico. É mais comum em cães de raças braquicefálicas devido a algumas diferenças da conformação anatômica da órbita. Este trabalho tem como objetivo relatar o caso de um canino de raça Pinscher que sofreu ataques de outros cães com os quais convive, resultando em proptose de globo ocular. O animal foi atendido e mantinha estado clínico geral estável, apresentando proptose do globo ocular com lesões em estruturas perioculares. Após atendimento clínico emergencial e realização de exames pré-operatórios, o animal foi submetido ao procedimento cirúrgico para reposicionamento do globo protusado pela técnica de cantotomia seguida de tarsorrafia provisória. Decorridos 15 dias da intervenção cirúrgica os pontos foram retirados. O olho estava funcional, íntegro, com manutenção dos reflexos oculares, palpebrais e não havia estrabismo.
