This study aims to understand the relationship between the weekly frequency of use, expectations, satisfaction and retention of members in a fitness Clubs. In this market it is indispensable to understand the characteristics of faithful members, in order to act appropriately with each segment. Accordingly, the weekly frequency, which a member goes to the gym, their expectations, satisfaction and retention are key variables to understand them. Data was collected with a sample of 146 members. The instrument was constituted by the sample characterization and questions to understand the consumer behaviour in fitness (weekly frequency of use, expectations, satisfaction and retention behaviours). The statistical analysis consisted on descriptive and inferential analyses, using SPSS software. In this study the weekly frequency did not show the explanatory capacity to predict the satisfaction and retention. The relationship between expectations with satisfaction (73%) and retention (64%) was statistically significant. Finally, the relationship between satisfaction and retention (63%) was positive and significant. The results indicated that fitness club managers must act to keep those who are less likely to remain, who aren't the ones who go less times a week to the club, but those who have a lower satisfaction and, consequently, lower retention.
Rett syndrome is of genetic origin, caused by a mutation of dominant characteristic in the MeCP2 gene, which studies with psychomotor alterations in children. In this sense, this article aims to report the case of a Peruvian patient with the late diagnosis of the disease. The patient started the clinical characteristics of the disease at one year and two months, but the diagnosis, with a genetic study that identified the mutation, was only made at 3 years. During this period her diagnoses were: absence epilepsy and microcephaly. These misconceptions favored the accentuation of biopsychomotor delays. Currently, at the age of 4, the patient is being treated with a multidisciplinary approach, but as there are serious sequelae, there are delays in development and results take time to appear. Therefore, this work shows the difficulty of diagnosis, the need for a multidisciplinary approach in treatment and that there is a need for more studies to learn more about this syndrome and thus be able to provide a better safeguard of the lives of the patients.
Objective: To analyze the evidence in the evolution of scientific production on the factors associated with curative practices of the umbilical stump. Materials and Methods: The study data collection took place in April 2017. The electronic databases used to search the articles were: PubMed (National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health) and VHL (Virtual Health Library). We used the keywords "perinatal care", "umbilical cord", "patient care team", "neonatology", "newborn", in the Portuguese, English and Spanish languages, accompanied by the expression AND and selected through DeCS (Descriptors in Health Sciences). Results: A final sample of 9 articles was obtained from the PubMed and VHL databases, which met the inclusions criteria. It has been found that traditional umbilical stump care practices are still present in many communities, however, have been replaced by appropriate practices, the most recommended being: chlorhexidine 4% sanitation, soap and water and alcohol antisepsis 70%. Conclusions: There is a need for multi-professional involvement, approaching these women since pregnancy, with detailed information and accessible language about proper care with the newborn and the umbilical stump.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
