A automatização do controle interno do estoque corresponde à introdução de um sistema tecnológico que utiliza a inteligência digital para realizar funções que antes eram feitas de forma manual. No entanto, apesar de todos os benefícios muitas empresas ainda não estão adeptas a essa automatização, por considerarem que o processo de implantação longo prazo e o investimento financeiro alto. Nesse contexto, o presente artigo tem como pergunta problema: de que forma a automatização dos processos de controle interno de estoque pode influenciar no desempenho organizacional? O objetivo geral deste artigo é relacionar a automatização das ferramentas de controle interno do estoque com a evolução da tecnologia no ambiente organizacional. Para isso, foi adotada a metodologia de revisão bibliográfica, com a utilização dos métodos de pesquisa de natureza qualitativa e com fins exploratórios. Como resultados, foi identificado que a automatização é um sistema essencial para as empresas que querem competir no mercado atual, pois através desta há uma diminuição dos índices de erros, melhora na perda de estoque, além de evitar a ocorrência de produtos vencidos e até mesmo furtos. Por fim, conclui-se que o processo de controle interno de estoque pode ser realizado de forma mais eficaz e segura através do uso de sistemas automatizados, que reduzem erros e aumentam a qualidade do estoque, influenciando, diretamente, no desempenho organizacional.
