Summary The article presents the results of research concerning worklife balance of employees of enterprises located in lubuskie voivodeship. The working conditions provided by employers were analyzed. The authors of research checked whether they favor, according to the respondents, the homeostasis between work and private life. The results showed some deficits in this area. This led to reflection on the potential remedial actions which can be applied in the organization, such as a policy of „family friendly employment”.
Summary In order for a business activity to be ethical, one needs ethical employees. Nevertheless, the ongoing generational change leads to the situation in which the values and the resulting standards of ethical behavior that have been thus far embraced in the workplace may no longer be unacceptable or respected by young people that enter the labor market. The article sets out to answer the following questions: what place do core values occupy in ethics programs of businesses; is there any relationship between them and the professional values of employees; why take into account individual preferences of organization members in terms of value when developing the agenda of corporate values. An important point of the discussion has become the values shared by those entering the labor market (the so-called Generation Y, or millennials) and the differences in this regard between them and the employees who have been pursuing their professional careers for years now (Generation X).
Summary In the literature on management, engagement is generally discussed in the context of cooperation with paid employees. This article focuses on the rarely analyzed issue – developing the engagement of nonprofit members. Research was carried out on this subject in the association in Zielona Góra, where deficits were found in that area. The aim of the article is to determine the reasons for the low engagement among SPOzZD members, to identify their expectations towards the functioning of the Association as well as to indicate activities that could encourage further engagement of these members, which can be implemented by representatives of the Board. The case study method was used.
Women around the world are paving the way for an inspiring style of leadership that is dynamic, confident, authentic, and highly effective. It is evident that the countries led by women leaders seem to have been particularly successful in fighting the Coronavirus. The rapid transition to remote employment has taken about other problems for organisations, for successful performance assessment, monitoring, and transparency are often a challenge. The new dilemma focuses around how senior leaders should rethink in decision making and other ways that promote trust, innovation, and cooperation. Therefore, Woman leaders during this pandemic situation are faced with certain challenges that require them to readjust and reorganize to establish a balance between work-related and family-related characteristics. This research paper analysis how female leaders are feeling the impact of the pandemic and how they are expanding their leadership style and also how they influence in work today and beyond. This paper is based on the pilot study conducted among Women withleadership roles working in IT and Educational sector. A Survey with in-depth interview and questionnaire has been used to collect the data and it is analysed through a comparative and regression study. The study also focuses on acute challenges faced by Women working in leadership roles from home and ways to improve the quality and to aspire to boost the standard of leadership in these tumultuous times.
In contemporary market economy, an increasing importance is attributed to the observance of ethics. The subject of considerations of researchers dealing with this issue is also the ethical dimension of professions, including those ones, which are related to accounting and finances. It is recognized the need to develop substantive and interpersonal competences, but also in the field of professional ethics. The aim of the article is: 1) to demonstrate that co-active coaching is a particularly useful tool for developing skills to solve ethical dilemmas among employees working in accounting and finance; 2) to present the key competencies of a co-active coach, with particular emphasis on the ability to ask questions facilitating analysis and decision-making for the coachee when facing an ethical dilemma; 3) to present the stages of a coaching session supporting the development of skills to solve ethical dilemma common among professionals whose job relates to accounting and finance using the GROW model, plus to indicate selected questions recommended in each of these stages. It was achieved on the basis of the results of the analysis of the literature of the subject.
