RESUMOObjetivo: Analisar a insatisfação corporal e a verificar a associação com os indicadores antropométricos. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo de corte transversal, caráter descritivo e populacional. As participantes da pesquisa foram acadêmicas do curso de graduação em Nutrição de uma faculdade privada da cidade de Montes Claros-MG, com idade entre 20-59 anos. Foi aferido o peso, altura, circunferências de cintura e quadril e calculado o IMC. A insatisfação com a imagem corporal foi avaliada pela escala adaptada de silhuetas corporais de Stunkard, aplicadas por autopreenchimento. Resultados: A amostra foi composta por 101 acadêmicas. Constatou-se uma predominância de 65,4% das participantes em quadro de eutrofia. A partir do preechimento da escala de classificação de Stunkard, constatou-se 29,7% das participantes acreditavam assemelhar-se com a silhueta cuja imagem remete a uma pessoa com dimensões visualmente proporcionais de peso e altura. Conclusão: As maiores porcentagens da amostra encontram-se em quadro eutrófico e com uma percepção positiva da imagem corporal. A conscientização da percepção corporal e social entre os universitários deve ser objetivo de enfoque entre os profissionais de saúde e organizações afins para evitar futuros distúrbios entre os jovens. ABSTRACTObjective: To evaluate body dissatisfaction and to verify the association with the anthropometric indicators. Methods: This is a cross-sectional, descriptive and population character. The participants were students of Nutrition Science from a private college Montes Claros-MG, aged 20-59 years. It was measured the weight, height, waist circumference and hip and calculated BMI. Dissatisfaction with body image was evaluated by the scale adapted from body silhouettes of Stunkard. Results: The sample consisted of 101 students. It was found a predominance of 65.4% of participants in eutrophic frame. From the Stunkard rating scale, 29.7% of participants believed resemble with the silhouette whose image refers to a person with visually proportional dimensions of height and weight. Conclusion: The highest percentage of the sample are in eutrophic framework and a positive body image perception. Awareness of body and social awareness among university should be objective approach among health professionals and related organizations to prevent future disorders among young people.
