Introduction: Objective: To assess the antioxidant property of 10% amla extract in reversing the compromised bond strength and to assess the antioxidant property of 10% amla extract and Elsenz on the color stability of power bleached teeth. Materials and Methods: Ninty extracted single-rooted maxillary anterior were collected and divided as follows: The labial surfaces of 30 samples were subjected to power bleaching after which the samples were divided into three groups– Group I (control), Group II (antioxidant amla), and Group III (Elsenz) with n = 10 in each which were then stained with a coffee solution for 10 mins. The color difference was recorded with a colorimeter at baseline, after bleaching, after 7, and after 15 days of staining. sixty specimens were randomly divided into six groups (n = 10) as following: Group I (immediate bonding); Group II (bleaching + immediate bonding); Group III (bleaching + antioxidant and immediate bonding); Group IV (bleaching + 1 week storage + antioxidant + bonding); Group V (bleaching + 2 week storage + antioxidant + bonding); Group VI (bleaching + 2 week storage + bonding). All the specimens were tested for shear bond strength in universal testing machine. Statistical analysis was performed using ANOVA and Scheffe's post hoc test. Results: Conclusion: Elsenz showed the least staining followed by artificial saliva. 10% Amla extract neither was effective in preventing staining of power bleached enamel nor in restoring the poor bond strength of power bleached enamel.
This paper reports a fusion of the mandibular lateral incisor and a supernumerary tooth, case focuses on the diagnosis of the clinical and radiographic features. The clinical examination revealed the absence of interdental embrasure and unesthetic appearance of the right mandibular lateral incisor. The conventional radiograph did not reveal thorough information to decide on provisional and differential diagnosis as it provides a two-dimensional view, which is the main limitation of the conventional radiographic technique. The presence of fused tooth was confirmed by the newer technique CBCT which was very specific in reading the difference in morphology of the tooth, that was well appreciated.

Fortunately, dentistry has been the focal point of a great covenant research in recent years with the desire of ameliorating restoration performances. In this article we put forward the basic foundation regarding the finishing polishing technique, the ideology behind it, objectives and why it is important. The article discusses evidence based information to enlighten the paramount significance of this step in enhancing the properties of a restoration. Here, in this article we majorly review the recent aids or inventions made in the field of finishing and polishing materials with currently published reference articles. The knowledge and impact of new technologies is higher than we expected. It helps us in improvising our methodologies with enlightening places of correlation with research. It helps us improve our work and deliver high quality treatment with less time and more patient satisfaction. The overall point of this article is to give the readers with an improved mindfulness and more extensive information on the standards and apparatuses accessible to create ideal dental restorations.
