The quality of life scores, in general, were not high, especially in physical aspects. Therefore, measures need to be implemented to evaluate the effectiveness of work adjustments and adaptations, in order to improve occupational health.
Cross-sectional descriptive study aimed to assess the health status of nursing staff retrained due to illness of a public university hospital in northern Paraná, Brazil. Data of 34 workers were collected through the application of the Medical Outcomes Studies 36 items - Short Form (MOS SF-36). The results showed that physical problems were the reason for retraining in 91.2 % of cases. Of the eight domains assessed by the MOS SF -36, the worst scores referred to bodily pain, vitality and general health and the best scores were attributed to aspects of the mental health component. Workers retrained due to physical reason had lower scores in all domains except emotional performance in relation to those with mental problem. The evaluation of the perceived health of these workers showed that retraining due to illness is a strategy developed to enhance the functional capacity of workers, despite their limitations.
This study aimed to identify the stress level of functionally rearranged and readapted workers of a public state university. It was a cross-sectional study performed with 92 government employees. Data were collected through a characteristics questionnaire and the Perceived Stress Scale. The results showed that 73.9% of workers were female, 57.6% had secondary education, 71.7% were married, and 59.8% had repetitive strain injury/work-related musculoskeletal disorder. The overall mean stress level was 22.6 points; workers in technical functions (24.6 points) and workers who suffered falls (28.2 points) had higher stress levels. Based on these results, the highest level of stress were concluded to affect female workers who suffered falls. Estudio transversal, realizado con 92 funcionarios públicos, donde los datos fueron colectados por medio de cuestionario de caracterización de la población y Escala de Estrés Percibido. Los resultados mostraron que el 73,9% de los trabajadores eran del sexo femenino, 57,6% poseía enseñanza secundaria, 71,7% era casado, 59,8% presentaba lesiones por esfuerzos repetitivos/trastorno musculoesquelético relacionado al trabajo. El promedio general del nivel de estrés fue de 22,6 puntos, trabajadores en la función laboral de técnico presentaron mayor estrés siendo 24,6 puntos y los trabajadores que sufrieron caídas tuvieron mayor nivel de estrés, 28,2 puntos. Con base en los resultados encontrados, se considera que el mayor nivel de estrés sucedió con trabajadores del sexo femenino y que sufrieron caídas.DESCRIPTORES: Estrés psicológico. RESUMOObjetivo: relatar a experiência de uma acadêmica de enfermagem no desenvolvimento de atividades na sala de espera e as potencialidades e fragilidades desse processo numa estratégia saúde da família. Método: relato de experiência crítico e reflexivo realizado durante o Estágio Curricular Supervisionado. Resultados: a experiência oportunizou vivenciar algumas fragilidades, sendo elas: dificuldade na elaboração escrita do projeto sobre o tema sugerido, insegurança na abordagem, falta de receptividade de alguns usuários, a intensidade do barulho na sala de espera, que dificultou a comunicação. Além das fragilidades, a acadêmica evidenciou potencialidades, sendo um momento de desenvolver melhor a sua comunicação com o usuário e fortalecer vínculo. Conclusão: A experiência, ao realizar a sala de espera no Estágio Curricular Supervisionado, foi relevante para que a acadêmica pudesse desenvolver estratégias em realizar atividades de educação e promoção de saúde. ABSTRACTObjective: To report the experience of a nursing student in the development of activities in the waiting room and the potentialities and weaknesses of this process in a family health strategy. Method: report of a critical and reflective experience during the Supervised Curricular Internship. Results: the experience allowed observing some weaknesses: difficulty writing the project about the suggested topic, insecurity in the approach, lack of some users' receptivity, the intensity of the noise in the waiting room that hindered communication. In addition to the weaknesses, the academic showed potentialities, being a moment to develop better her communication with the user and strengthen bond. Conclusion: The experience, when performing the waiting room in the Supervised Curricular Internship, was relevant for the academic could develop strategies to carry out activities of health education and promotion. Objective: to analyze the adherence of nursing professionals to preventive measures of infection by peripheral venous catheter. Methods: a cross-sectional study carried out in an adult intensive care unit with 47 nursing professionals. Results: statistically relevant measures for adherence to infection prevention were identified, such as double checking of drugs, verification of medication prior to administration, certification of allergy in patients prior to administration, separation of material prior to procedure, length of stay of the catheter for less than 72 hours, fixation exchange in 24 hours, actions related to the handling of the injection ports and connectors, and access salinization after administering solutions through the catheter. These measures were not yet fully added in the professional routines of the research subjects, despite professionals had stated they knew them (97.9%) and that the measures contributed to preventive actions (100.0%). Conclusion: the investigated nursing professionals showed low adherence to the preventive measures of infection in the peripheral venous catheters.
Objetivo: A proposta do estudo é mencionar a experiência de acadêmicas de enfermagem durante as práticas e estágios realizados no decorrer do curso. Relato de experiência: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, tipo relato de experiência, elaborado a partir das vivências das autoras do presente trabalho. Os dados obtidos na experiência das alunas evidenciaram que as práticas e estágios contribuem para o conhecimento do aluno acerca do SUS e fornece a possibilidade de vivenciar acontecimentos reais e fictícios, como realizar curativo, cuidar de um paciente com distúrbios psiquiátricos e dependência química, visita domiciliar e atender puérpera e recém-nascido, desenvolvendo assim a capacidade de analisar e responder à situações do ser enfermeiro, devido a utilização de todo o seu conhecimento adquirido em âmbito teórico e prático. Contudo, defronta-se com inseguranças, distinção entre teoria e prática e cobranças excessivas. Considerações finais: As práticas e estágios são relevantes para a formação integral do aluno de enfermagem para atuar nos diferentes níveis de atenção.
Geotechnical analysis of tunnels in complex geo-structural environments requires an advanced understanding of the inter-block structure effect on rock mass behavior, such as joints and fractures systems, bedding and foliation planes, among other discontinuity types. The conventional approach for preliminary geotechnical analysis of tunnels is based on a continuous-equivalent system representation of rock mass, i.e. without explicit consideration of systematic discontinuity systems. However, to obtain a closer to reality results of the rock mass expected behavior, geo-structural data should be included from the initial stage of geotechnical analysis. A case study is used to analyze the implications of the discontinuity systems inclusion on the rock mass stability around tunnel. Two-dimensional finite element numerical models were developed using three different models to the generation of rock discontinuity systems. The obtained results show that fracture intensity parameter help to generated more realistic two-dimensional DFNs.
