ResumenEl presente trabajo tiene como objetivo reflexionar sobre el sistema de Educación Superior (en adelante ES) que se desarrolla en España y Chile desde una perspectiva comparada. Se desarrolla un análisis a partir de la especulación e interpretación al que están sujetos los distintos sistemas de ES por parte de los diversos contextos políticos, económicos y sociales. Explica como los espacios educativos enfrentan el paradigma democrático actual y la construcción del tejido ciudadano. Se desarrollan también planteamientos que encierran una de las encrucijadas más evidentes que en frenta la ES, y que se refiere, al complejo de necesidades por parte de la ciudadanía que responden directa y específicamente a un serio progreso en el saber y en un saber de totalidad, es decir, la búsqueda del conocimiento sin parcialidad ni dependencia, que incluye la investigación y el cultivo de las parcelas aparentemente inútiles. Democratize citizenship AbstractThe present work aims to reflect on Higher Education in Spain and Chile, in a comparative per spective. The reflection develops from an analysis based on speculation and interpretation that make pressure to different educational systems from various political, economic and social contexts. The totality explains how educational spaces face the current democratic paradigm and the construction of the citizenship. Approaches are developed that contain one of the most obvious crossroads facing the Higher Education, and refers to the complex needs of citizenship by responding directly and spe cifically to growing progress in knowledge and in a knowledge of also, i.e., the pursuit of knowledge without partiality or dependence, including research and cultivation of apparently worthless plots.
La posibilidad que tienen los profesores y profesoras de configurar espacios inclusivos que permitan atender a la diversidad, depende, en gran medida, de la formación recibida en las Instituciones de Educación Superior. Desde esta perspectiva, el objetivo de este estudio es describir la relación entre la Inteligencia Emocional (IE) y las Actitudes hacia la Diversidad (personal, cognitiva y cultural), presentes en estudiantes de pedagogía de dos universidades tradicionales de la región de Antofagasta, Chile. En el estudio de tipo no experimental, de corte transversal y alcance correlacional, participaron 51 estudiantes. Los datos se recogieron a través de las escalas Trait Meta-Mood Scale (TMMS-24) y Actitud Hacia la Diversidad (ACTDIV). Los resultados muestran que no existe relación entre ambas variables (rho = 0.204; p = 0,152), pero sí en algunas de sus dimensiones.
Implementar una metodología de trabajo semestral basada en una técnica de aprendizaje activo en un curso de estadística para la carrera de Ingeniería Comercial de la Universidad Católica del Norte. Se implementó una experiencia de innovación pedagógica, aplicando la técnica de aprendizaje cooperativo denominada «El rompecabezas de Aronson» como metodología de trabajo semestral en un curso de estadística compuesto por 60 alumnos. Los cuestionarios realizados muestran que el desarrollo de esta experiencia tuvo una buena acogida dentro del estudiantado y se redujo la tasa de reprobación. Al finalizar el curso, un 63% de los encuestados manifiesta preferencia por haber construido su aprendizaje con esta técnica y solo un 7% señala preferencia por haber utilizado una metodología tradicional. También se identificaron aspectos negativos y positivos de la implementación, además de visualizar posibilidades de mejora. Dentro de los aspectos negativos, se plantean temáticas como la falta de tiempo y habilidades pedagógicas de los estudiantes, complejidad de los contenidos para utilizar esta técnica y poca retroalimentación en la primera etapa del proceso. Mientras tanto, las opiniones positivas guardan relación con lo innovador del método, el desarrollo de competencias que no se logran con metodologías tradicionales, como habilidades sociales y organizativas. También se destaca el apoyo docente durante la segunda etapa del proceso y el uso de recursos audiovisuales para el aprendizaje.
