Multi-mode and multi-band communication networks have emerged as a step towards true 3"' Generation (3G) networks. In this paper, novel integrated RF hnt-ends for multi-modehand handsets are described. The advantages of an integrated front-end are demonstrated by measurement results of a prototype EGSMPCS --end module. It is shown that this integrated RF module offers a substantial improvement in the present state of handset design,
Dual modeband communication networks have emerged as a step towards the true third generation communication networks UMTS and FPLMTS. In this paper, novel ceramic antenna filters for GSM/DECT and GSM/PCN network terminals are described. The performance of the GSM/DECT and GSM/PCN antenna filters is evaluated by simulation results. Furthermore, the performance of the GSM/DECT antenna filter is evaluated by measurement results. It is found out that both of the described antenna filters indicate a substantial improvement to the present state of antenna filtering design.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
