The supply chain of the dairy industry in Indonesia involves a number of actors and a variety of dairy handling that may lead into potential risks and failures. One of the risks affecting supply chain performance is the adulteration of raw materials. This condition can possibly result in the occurrence of chain's effect. Thus, it is necessary to build a dynamic model to handle such problems. Dynamic modeling was used in this study. For the initial phase, determination of supply chain risk factor was investigated. Second, modeling of supply chain mitigation risk was conducted by using dynamic system. Dynamic models were used to analyse complex problems with many variables involved. The problem analysis results were modeled in a dynamic system that has an aim to reduce the risk of adulteration. This research has successfully constructed a model consisted of one main variable that can potentially reduce the risk. The foremost recommended strategy was to improve the transparency of supply chain management.
Marketing plays an important role in determining an enterprise's success. Inappropriate marketing strategy can lead to various risks, especially for SMEs that have not prepared their risk management. This research aims to identify and specify marketing strategy priorities in the production of potato chips, and to decide anticipationary action in determining risk mitigation. The research is a case study of XYZ company. The method used for risk analysis was Fuzzy FMEA, and that used to specify the strategic priorities was ANP. The results indicate that the most potential risks in potato chip marketing are promotion risk, which is caused by inappropriate steps with regard to promotion targets, and the absence of a brand image. The primary strategy in market risk mitigation is to improve sub-strategy promotion, which increases the effectiveness of promotion facilities and infrastructure, complies with the development of information and communication media, and maintains service quality in the sub-criteria of building and maintaining good relations with customers.
Kabupaten Jombang merupakan daerah potensial untuk pengembangan industri ayam broiler. Tantangan utama pengembangan industri ayam broiler yaitu fluktuasi harga yang tinggi, baik input maupun output. Analisis rantai nilai industri ayam broiler di Kabupaten Jombang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi serta menganalisis peta dan saluran rantai nilai, distribusi biaya dan keuntungan, serta karakteristik pasar. Analisis distribusi biaya dan keuntungan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Hayami. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi kenaikan harga yang tidak wajar dan ketimpangan struktur pasar di setiap level rantai nilai. Setiap pelaku usaha industri ayam broiler di Kabupaten Jombang memperoleh keuntungan sesuai kontribusi penciptaan nilai dan risiko yang ditanggung, kecuali peternak dan broker. Total keuntungan broker lebih besar, sedang kegiatan penciptaan nilai dan risiko broker lebih kecil dibanding peternak. Fluktuasi harga daging ayam yang tidak wajar merupakan dampak dari penguasaan akses pasar oleh broker dan perusahaan peternakan skala besar. Penguasaan akses pasar menyebabkan distorsi pasar pada industri ayam broiler. Pengembangan industri ayam broiler harus difokuskan pada perbaikan akses pasar, informasi, dan modal untuk meningkatkan daya saing para pelaku usaha.
