INTRODUCTIONElectrical technology for the Renewable Energy (RE) uses solar energy source as an alternative source of reliable energy. Some of the problems arising in the photovoltaic system (PV) among others: prediction of PV configuration and battery size, energy consumption prediction, maximum power system and performance analysis of PV system. The PV system modeling is an initial phase to be considered, such as size, identification and simulation applications. In some literature, models have been proposed for modeling of different components on the stand-alone PV. Some methods are based on software simulation namely by using the program such as; PSpice, Matlab Simulink and Labview (Wahid and Hambali, 2015;Ramenah et al., 2014;Mizuki et al., 2014). This article will introduce a model of solar radiation based on weather forecasting system. It produces short-term photovoltaic output predictions from the forecasting information from the meteorological department. Based on the output results of solar radiation and distribution network, then an algorithm can be generated. The prediction model of produced photovoltaic power can predict the output and algorithm in computational speed (Bastidas-Rodríguez et al., 2018;Mai et al., 2017;Lin, 2012). Meng et al. (2014) have proposed to utilize solar power plant (photovoltaic) on a micro grid system with DC voltage source. The battery charging and discharging system is connected to the traction system through a DC bus. For tracking the maximum power point is adopted on the solar power plant. Community service program is a mandatory activity for higher eduacation in community empowerment and development. These activities include training programs and application of appropriate technology including the utilization of solar energy for water pumps in orphanages in Rokan Hulu regency and the street lighting program in Simpang Petai village, Kampar regency in Riau province. This activity also considers to the obstacles faced by the community with offering and implementing appropriate technology to them as beneficiaries. This activity takes place with the involvement of students in work and lecture program (KKN) that integrated with community service activities.It is shown that the community as beneficiaries have joined diligently and received assistance with this program by implementation of solar water pump and street lighting. The evaluation of this activity shows that collaboration continues between the community and the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Riau and the communitis feel helped and there is an improvement in the electricity infrastructure in their village. This activity was carried out in a fostered village by the Faculty of Engineering, University of Riau.

Hampir seluruh pembangkit listrik dan industri di Indonesia menggunakan menggunakan batu bara sebagai bahan bakar. Batu bara memiliki limbah berupa fly ash, bottom ash, gas beracun dan sisa batu bara yang tidak terpakai. Limbah batu bara tidak terpakai banyak terdapat di pertambangan yang masih beroperasi, sisa lahan pertambangan, laboratorium, dan pembangkit listrik, sehingga perlu penanganan yang tepat seperti pembuatan briket bio-batu bara. Pada pembuatan briket bio-batu bara ini, batu bara diproses menggunakan metode pirolisis dan tanpa pirolisis dengan skala laboratorium. Proses pirolisis menggunakan suhu 400 o C selama 2 jam. Berat sampel briket sebesar 99,87 g dibakar pada suhu pembakaran 400 o C dengan menggunakan udara ruang didalam furnace. Sebelum proses pembriketan, batu bara yang telah mengalami proses pirolisis dan tanpa pirolisis dicampur dengan limbah biomassa ampas dan batang tebu. In order to supply the water for laying hens farm in Kubu Cubadak Simpang Petai, the service team from University of Riau has designed a water purification system using the filtration technique. Before designing the filtration, sample of water from the well around the farm is taken and analyzed in the laboratory. Based on this result, the filtration is characterized to get the water satisfying the needs of the farm. There are two tubs in the filtration system containing silica sand, zeolite, and active carbon. Water from the well is pumped to the tank with three-meter height. From there, water is pumped back again to the tube to get the optimal water flow. The quality of water from the filtration have enhancement in terms of color, turbidity, and pH. The color and turbidity of water are improved from 41 NTU to 0 NTU and from 22,5 NTU to 5,59 NTU, respectively. Furthermore, there is an increasing in pH of water, from 5,44 to 6,32. These results have fulfilled the standard for laying hens farm.
Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Terintegrasi Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) Universitas Riau merupakan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dosen yang dijalankan secara bersamaan dengan kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KUKERTA) mahasiswa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dirancang berdasarkan kebutuhan masyarakat lokasi Kukerta. Kegiatan pengabdian kali ini berupa penerapan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi dengan merancang sebuah alat Sistem Smart Monitoring Kualitas Air berbasiskan internet of thing (IoT) di Kelurahan Tirta Siak, Payung Sekaki, Pekanbaru. Alat ini mengubah cara pengujian air baku yang konvensional yang biasanya dilakukan dengan cara membawa sampel ke laboratorium. Sistem Smart Monitoring Kualitas Air Sungai ini menguji sampel air dengan meletakkan sensor kekeruhan dan pH di lokasi yang ditentukan, kemudian data diproses oleh Arduino Mega 2560 untuk melakukan pembacaan nilai parameter pH dan kekeruhan air sungai, nilai yang didapat dari proses pengukuran tersebut dikonversikan dari bentuk analog ke bentuk digital untuk ditampilkan ke antar muka berupa website. Dengan adanya alat ini diharapkan kualitas air Sungai Siak di titik lokasi dimana alat dipasang dapat terpantau. Sehingga dengan adanya pemantauan secara langsung dengan data real time ini dapat pula merubah perilaku masyarakat terutama masyarakat Pekanbaru terhadap kualitas air Sungai Siak dengan demikian kebersamaan masyarakat dalam menjaga kualitas lingkungan akan terbangun.

This Research aim tyo know the effect of chain passing game modification exercise on volleyball bottom passing skills. The study used a quasi-experimental method. Sampling using random sampling. The independent variable of this research, namely, modofication of chain passing, as the dependent variable, namely passing under the population of this study at SMK Al-Ihya Kaduronyok and the sample of this study amounted to 16 people. The results of the study showed that there as an effect of modification of the chain passing gam eon volleyball under passing skills in extracuricular activities at Al-Ihya Kaduronyok Vocation School. This is evidenced by the significance value at Tcount=6.0797>Ttable=1.687. The average value of the pretest result was 7.375 while the posttest increased to 18.5. Based on hypothesis testing, i tis stated that there is a positive influence berween the effect of modofying the chain passing gme on vollyball bottom passing skills. A good passing player isable to return the ball wwell ti this friend or can hold the ball by not deviating and just at the times of his passing.
