This study examines the impact of financial liberalization on developing countries' growth rates and the relationship between the variables using the fixed effects least squares approach for five developing countries from 1990 to 2021. Based on the results, financial liberalization and economic freedom are the driving factors underlying economic growth in five Asean members (Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines). Secondly, financial liberalization puts the financial system at risk, but it plays an important role in the growth of economies.. Financial system deregulation is a key driver of economic growth in Asean member countries. Policymakers should evaluate and strengthen existing financial transparency standards.
The users (demand-side) of Malaysian Islamic banking uphold their behavioural intention toward their awareness of the need to comply with Riba-free banking, especially for entrepreneurs demanding venture capital strategies. Because of high risks, Musharakah contracts are deemed less preferred in Islamic banking. This study needs to examine the factors influencing the intention to apply venture capital strategies in the Musharakah contract. The data were collected through a survey of 286 respondents and were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) AMOS. The results showed that subjective norms positively affect venture capital strategies and mediate intention via subjective norms. While the other factors are not significant, the findings contribute to the literature on venture capital strategies by demonstrating the drivers of behavioural intention and testing the mediating role of venture capital strategies and the integrated Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) in the context of Islamic banking by introducing venture capital strategies as a potential driver of intention and as a mediator effect. Islamic banks in Malaysia have great potential to offer the Musharakah contract and mitigate risk by adopting venture capital strategies. The results of this study are vital in proposing the channelling of Islamic Corporate Social Responsibility (i-CSR) funds for the Musharakah contract as an initial step in applying venture capital strategies. Also, regulatory bodies and Islamic banks may benefit from the outcome, which provides insight into the factors they should consider to promote venture capital strategies in the Musharakah contract.
Since the height of Islam, Higher Education Institutions (HEI) have been growing in accordance with the expansion of the educational and healthcare systems. HEI is seen as a location that acts as a hub for the exchange of information, the growth of the human personality, and as a driver of the regional socio-economic system. The instrument of waqf and endowment for higher education and health is extensively utilised as one of the strategies in assuring the stability of management and the integrity of its administration with the rise of HEIs controlled by various governments based on the concept of Islamic legislation. The purpose of this research is to describe how waqf of health and endowments for higher education and health have grown at HEIs or colleges that rely on endowment support. The researcher conducted interviews with officers who oversee the department or unit of higher education and health endowment in particular, identified HEIs and used qualitative methods to assess the data. The study's findings identified a number of significant concerns with administering and growing endowments for higher education and healthcare at HEIs, including funding and financial issues, lack of expert staff, and problems with trustee collaboration. The management of HEI must analyse how the endowments for education and health were managed during the height of Islam in order to reapply it in line with modern advancements and Islamic ideals. The researcher comes to the conclusion that HEIs must continue to develop and be prepared to handle any problems that arise when implementing higher education.
People are becoming more aware of hibah's role as the best property management solution. However, raising awareness isn't enough if the amount of property deferred grows year after year. This situation reflects a lack of awareness and exposure in the handling of estates in our society. The main goal of this research is to determine the level knowledge and awareness of hibah implementation among University of Technology citizens, as well as the factors that influence it. In addition, this study also aimed to examine differences in hibah practices according to selected background factors. The study population consisted of 100 staff in the Uitm Shah Alam and Sabah Branches. The findings of the study showed a high level of knowledge of Uitm Shah Alam and Sabah Branch residents on property management practices through hibah, which is an average mean range of 4.46. However, the level of awareness about the practice of hibah is moderate at 3.60. The analysis of the direct relationship found that the relationship between the level of knowledge that is (β = 0.242, p <0.024) has a significant influence on the willingness to implement hibah positively, while the relationship between the level of awareness that is (β = -0.968, p <0.001) affects the readiness of citizens to implement the grant is significant and positive. Therefore, the increase or decrease in the level of knowledge and awareness of hibah practices can affect the level of readiness of UiTM citizens to implement hibah. This means that the higher the level of knowledge of an individual, the more likely they are to implement hibah to manage their property. The implication of the high level of knowledge related to the practice of hibah will create self-awareness. The research findings may be utilized by hibah consultants to enhance their marketing approach in order to educate the public about the value of property hibah management practices and to strengthen Malaysia's Islamic estate planning industry.
