IntroductionFaire de la recherche « avec » plutôt que « sur » les praticiens (Lieberman, 1986), voilà sans doute la phrase par laquelle on peut le mieux résumer la contribution de ce numéro thématique. Les textes qui y sont réunis cherchent à établir une certaine dialectique entre les préoccupations du monde de la recherche et celles du monde de la pratique. Les recherches dont ils rendent compte considèrent, dans ce contexte, le point de vue des praticiens et le regard qu'ils posent sur la pratique comme étant incontournables pour les questions de recherche abordées. Concrètement et de façon plus spécifique, ces différents textes proviennent de chercheurs engagés dans des recherches participatives. Chacun des textes ici proposés pose en quelque sorte une lentille grossissante sur la démarche par laquelle chercheurs et praticiens de l'éducation, de l'intérieur des différents projets menés, négocient un rapport de collaboration en vue de construire un savoir pertinent pour l'éducation 1 . Que veut dire et surtout qu'implique faire de la recherche « avec » plutôt que « sur » les praticiens ? C'est, au fond, la question à laquelle différents chercheurs, issus de divers domaines touchant l'éducation (psychopédagogie, technologie éducative, formation des enseignants, enseignement des sciences, enseignement des mathématiques, formation des adultes, alphabétisation populaire et autres), tentent de répondre en jetant un regard métacognitif, si l'on peut dire, et rétros-pectif sur des projets de recherche qu'ils ont menés. Ces projets ont tous en commun d'adopter une approche participative par rapport aux praticiens, qu'ils considèrent directement concernés par la recherche. Au coeur de cette participation s'élaborent une négociation des rôles et un partage d'expertises entre les partenaires engagés dans l'activité de recherche. Ces projets mettent ainsi en place de multiples médiations au coeur du processus de recherche. Les acteurs concernés, les communautés dans lesquelles ils interviennent, vont interférer au sein même de l'activité, renvoyant à différents points de vue ou « voix », à des expériences et connaissances diverses, ancrés dans un certain contexte 2 .
