A síntese de nanopartículas de prata é uma área que está se consolidando na nanotecnologia. A síntese verde tem alcançado espaço e reconhecimento na comunidade cientifica, pela diretriz do ambientalmente correto. O presente trabalho teve por objetivo a sintetizar e caracterizar nanopartículas de prata estabilizadas em extrato de Struthanthus flexicaulis Mart. AgNPS sintetizadas foram confirmadas pela presença do espectro de banda plasmônica visível na faixa entre 430nm a 480nm. As medidas do potencial Zeta para as três espécies produzidas, AgNPS-I, AgNPS-D e AgNPS-M variaram entre -28,0 mV a -22,0mV, apontando partículas como instáveis ou neutras. O Índice de Polidispresão (PDI), apresentou-se entre 0,296 a 0,303 demonstrando homogeneidade nas amostras, baixa variação nos tamanhos das partículas sem presença considerada de agregados. O tamanho do diâmetro das AgNPS formadas foram entre 45nm a 60nm, o que demonstra uma modificação superficial dos produtos formados. A síntese de AgNPS, a partir da síntese verde, apresentou uma equivalência entre os resultados, que se somarão aos estudos futuros sobre Struthanthus flexicaulis , que tem sido utilizada para fins terapêuticos.
