This article intends to examine how changes in the patterns of social interaction in coffee shops occur, how they change and what factors cause change. Data were obtained from the results of observations and literature studies which were then analyzed using a qualitative approach with descriptive analytical methods. The results of this study indicate that the development of digital technology, globalization and cultural contact that occur through digital media has influenced the patterns of interaction between Acehnese people in coffee shops, especially in young people. The interaction in the coffee shop changes from an interaction / verbal communication model to a virtual interaction. Besides that the function of the coffee shop has also changed, now the coffee shop is no longer a space for discussion and interaction but is a symbol of the lifestyle of young people and at the same time a "workplace" or new office for the community.Keywords: Interaction, Warung Kopi, Social Change
Several tourist attractions in Indonesia have involved local communities in their management and development. Community empowerment strategies include human resource development, productive endeavors, provision of information, capital development, and group institutionalization. This article focuses on women's participation in the empowerment of coastal communities in the tourist attraction of Pulau Banyak, Aceh Singkil. The objective of this article is to describe women's participation, forms of empowerment, and inhibiting factors. This study is based on qualitative field research to be conducted in 2022. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with relevant informants. The study showed that, in addition to the economic potential of marine and fisheries resources, Pulau Banyak also possesses promising tourism potential due to its attractive natural landscapes. This tourism potential has been utilized by the local community and women through microeconomic activities. However, women's empowerment strategies in the context of tourism on Pulau Banyak are still limited and rely on government assistance. Insufficient mentoring and limited marketing access are obstacles to women's empowerment. Abstrak Beberapa objek wisata di Indonesia telah melibatkan masyarakat lokal dalam pengelolaan dan pengembangan. Strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat termasuk pengembangan sumber daya manusia, usaha produktif, penyediaan informasi, pengembangan modal, dan kelembagaan kelompok. Artikel ini fokus pada partisipasi perempuan dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat pesisir di objek wisata Pulau Banyak, Aceh Singkil. Tujuan artikel ini adalah mendeskripsikan partisipasi perempuan, bentuk pemberdayaan, dan faktor penghambatnya. Kajian ini didasarkan pada penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang dilakukan pada tahun 2022. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan informan terkait. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa selain potensi ekonomi dari hasil kelautan dan perikanan, Pulau Banyak juga memiliki potensi wisata yang menjanjikan karena panorama alamnya yang menarik. Potensi wisata tersebut telah dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat dan kaum perempuan dalam bentuk aktivitas ekonomi mikro, Namun, strategi pemberdayaan perempuan dalam konteks wisata di pulau banyak masih terbatas dan bergantung pada bantuan pemerintah. Kurangnya pendampingan dan akses pemasaran yang terbatas menjadi kendala dalam pemberdayaan perempuan.
This study discusses the work ethic of the Acehnese people based on hadih maja(Acehnese proverb). This research used qualitative descriptive approach. Sources of the data come from a collection of Acehnese proverbs written by Hasyim (1977) and interviews with the community regarding the use of Acehnese proverbs. The results of this study suggest that the work ethics of the people of Aceh can be categorized based on five attitudes which include (1) responsibility, (2) hard work, (3) rational, (4) honest, and (5) discipline. The form of responsibility includes doing the job completely and not giving the job to someone else. Hard work is described by not wasting time but utilizing time productively. Rational attitude is described by doing logical work and being able to do well. Honesty must be carried out by workers in order to obtain safety in and trust from others. Furthermore, discipline is illustrated by the routine of the Acehnese people who demand to work on time.
Masyarakat nelayan kabupaten Pidie masih mengandalkan cara-cara tradisional dalam melakukan proses penangkapan ikan sehingga hasil tangkapan ikan di Kabupaten Pidie hanya sebesar 1.252.892 Kg per tahun. Sajian data kesuburan perairan dalam bentuk peta merupakan kebutuhan dasar bagi nelayan. Sajian peta dengan mengklasifikasi tingkat kesuburan menjadi, Sangat Subur, Subur, dan Tidak Subur. Zona potensi penangkapan ikan sangat subur hanya terdeteksi pada bulan Desember. Zona potensi penangkapan ikan subur di di seluruh wilayah perairan Kabupaten Pidie hanya pada bulan Februari. Zona potensi penangkapan ikan subur di sepanjang pesisir pantai terdeteksi pada bulan Januari, Maret, Mai, dan November. Potensi penangkapan ikan di wilayah perairan Kabupaten Pidie Pada bulan Juni, Juli, dan Agustus hanya terdeteksi di sebagian kecil wilayah pantai saja.
This research examines the using metaphors in the commentary column on Instagram social media accounts @serambinews and @haba_acehbarat. The chosen topic of metaphors due to the majority of hate speech on social media has found metaphor. As a result, victims feel aggrieved by posting social media reports to the police to be proven in court. The data collected is comments of the Instagram user in January-April 2021. From 1,750 commentary has observed are 107 metaphors consist of 51 structural metaphors, 27 orientational metaphors, and 29 ontological metaphors. The structural metaphors found in this study mostly use the term animal as a metaphorical element is almost the same as the ontological metaphor uses abstract terms to become concrete. Besides that, the orientational metaphors used for related to spatial orientation. Regards the potential for hate speech of the 1,750 comments has observed, 27 comments had the potential to be hate speech. The hate speech found in Instagram comments is defamation, insult, and provocation.
