Este artigo tem como objetivo a aplicação de uma tecnologia para o avanço da eletricidade noâmbito terapêutico, mais especificamente, no campo de estudo da eletroterapia. Assim, e proposto a implementação de um aparelho de estimulação elétrica em corrente pulsada, na ordem de miliamperes (mA), alimentado por uma fonte de tensão contínua ou baterias. O embasamento teórico da pesquisa advém dos autores VELLOSO (2005) e BRAGA (2017). Simulações e testes experimentais demonstram e validam que o procedimento de projeto proposto tem um desempenho adequado. Palavras-chave: Eletroterapia. Circuito eletro-estimulador. As discussões sobre energia e sociedade, quase sempre se justificam através da afirmação de que vivemos em um mundo cada vez mais dependente da energia e que as fontes fósseis devem exaurir em breve. Somado a esse fator, estudos apontam para mudanças climáticas que devem desencadear eventos extremos se algo não for feito para reverter esse senário em tempo recorde. Nesse contexto emerge o apelo para uma transição energética de baixo carbono. Porém as evidências históricas apontam para uma transição lenta e fortemente dependente da base material que a precede, ou seja, os combustíveis fósseis, principalmente no que tange aos estímulos econômicos que sempre se sobrepõem aos fatores ambientais. Conclui-se com base na revisão feita neste trabalho que não há uma expectativa concreta para uma transição energética no curto prazo conforme estabelecido pelos acordos internacionais na sociedade capitalista contemporânea.
