An overview of the current situation of Indonesian Islamic schools may be viewed by examining the areas of management and educational assessment, as well as the schools' amenities and facilities, content, and procedure, as well as the competency of its graduates, teachers, and other educational staff. It has recently come to light that not all Islamic schools in Indonesia can adhere to these standards. This study aims to highlight how principals of Indonesian Islamic Schools promote the academic professionalism of teachers and other educational staff members. In the context of the study of Islamic leadership, it incorporates the idea that the essential leadership talent is instructional leadership. It is associated with the core skillsets of assessment, unity of purpose, diversity, reflection, professional development, curriculum and instruction, instructional leadership, visionary leadership, learning community, organizational management, collaboration, and professionalism. This qualitative research uses a descriptive case study approach to provide a detailed description of the phenomenon under study. Using a purposive sampling technique, data collection involved representatives from public and private Madrasah Aliyah (MA) institutions in Parepare, Indonesia. Our study found the core understanding of academic professionalism emphasizes professional development, social service, competence, and responsibility, requiring the support of a proper institutional outcome plan. It provides evidence that the leadership style of principals influences the academic professionalism of teachers and educational staff, directly contributing to school quality. The excellence of the program and alumni reflects the effectiveness of the leadership of the madrasah principal.
This study's objectives explored two prominent cases: (1) the forms of stereotype in Literature Faculty and (2) how the influence of stereotype in intercultural communication toward the students of Literature Faculty. This study applied qualitative research, which explored the stereotype and intercultural communication toward Literature Faculty students. The researcher applied purposive sampling to gain data. There were 15 students participated as the participant, and the data were obtained through interviews. This study shows that stereotypes in Literature Faculty were stereotypes towards Makassar Ethnicity (Rudely) and stereotypes towards Buginese (Uang Panaik it is too expensive). Even though the students learned many negative stereotypes toward Makassarese and Buginese, most students were not affected by these negative stereotypes. The students chose to trust personal experience and establish effective communication with Makassarese and Buginese, which eventually eliminated negative stereotypes towards the Makassarese and Buginese groups.
Pattallassang districts inhabited by dozens of burasa' seller which is part of Gowa regency in South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia and life in economically weak. Uniquely, burasa' seller is selling its products in the Makassar city, but it should be a distance of tens kilometers. These activities are conducted daily, after selling burasa' during the day, they started to prepare the raw materials to be processed for the night. Can be described that the job lasted for 12 hours, but provide not sufficient income for them. But their efforts were likely not accompanied by a large income. Every day they only earn IDR 100.000 for all the burasa' they sells, which reached 100 belt burasa'. Their income is not net income, but they still have to set aside capital to buy raw materials for the next day. This reality that inspires the executor team to carry out community service to the burasa' business group who lives in the Je'nemadinging village. The program aims to increase the capacity of partners to be highly competitive with traditional culinary products and encourage other partners to implement effective management and efficient business. The method used for the transfer of science and technology to partners with participatory training methods by involving as many partners as possible in the activities of lectures, discussion and practice. After the series of training, partners have been able to produce burasa' with higher quality in terms of the durability of products, flavors, packaging and hygiene.
The writer obtain data by direct observation and other books or documents are relevant with the culture in North Kalimantan. Through Semiotic approach, that was determined to use icon, index and simbol, we knew the purpose and the real meaning of Mandau and Sumpit in connection with life manner of Dayak tribe. The type of this research is purposive sampling and semiotic approach. Large samples are 5 types of Mandau and 14 type of Mandau Dance. The object of this research is the Dayak community and all assosiated with Mandau and Sumpit in Dayak. The result showed that mandau and sumpit is as objects of art and culture, souvenirs, goods collection and weapons to hunt, trim scrub and are also used as an instrument for farm and agricultural.
This research aimed at finding out the kinds of advertisement in Palopo Pos Newspaper and the meaning of advertisement in Palopo Pos Newspaper. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative method. The source of data in this research was the Newspaper, named Palopo Pos Newspaper. The data are collected from the advertisement in Palopo Pos Newspaper from January until December 2013 edition and 2014 edition. In analyzing the data, the writer used semantical analysis by using Geoffrey Leech’s Theory. It aimed at finding out the kinds and the meaning of advertisement in Palopo Pos Newspaper, then the writer analyzed and explain the data from the newspaper. The result of this research showed that there were six kinds of advertisement was found. There were costumer, financial, business, trade, recruitment and retail advertisement.Whereas there were seven kinds of meaning in advertisement was found. There were social, affective, connotative, conceptual, collocative, thematic and reflected meaning. The purpose of this research is to give understanding about the kinds and the meaning of advertisement used semantical analysis by using Geoffrey Leech’s Theory to readers or the next researchers who would like to know and research more about it.
