The recent growth of online food delivery apps (OFDAs) centralized the restaurant's business in electronic distribution platforms. Recently, a few researchers have attempted to understand consumer behaviour towards using OFDAs. However, various aspects related to the usage of OFDAs have not been explored. Drawing from trust transfer theory, the purpose of this study is to fill this gap by investigating the trust transfer from OFDAs to restaurants and to address the boundary condition of trust transfer by examining the moderating effect of perceived effectiveness of dispute resolution (PEDR) between trust in OFDAs and trust in a restaurant. The model was tested via structural equation modelling (SEM) using data obtained from 836 users of OFDAs through structured questionnaire. The results show that trust in OFDAs positively influence the trust in restaurant, which ultimately leads to the consumers' continuous purchase intention. Further, PEDR positively moderates the relationship between trust in OFDAs and trust in a restaurant. Additionally, disposition to trust and online reviews significantly develops consumer trust in OFDAs. The present research makes substantial theoretical and practical contributions as it develops a trust transfer mechanism by considering an emerging mobile‐commerce field. The study provides a first theoretical outlook on consumers' continuous intention to use OFDAs, using trust transfer theory, which has not been considered so far. The findings provide information for food delivery platforms on how to manage conflict resolution to succeed in the market and help restaurants in selecting the most effective food delivery platforms with which to collaborate.
The trend of news transmission is rapidly shifting from electronic media to social media. Currently, news channels in general, while health news channels specifically send health related news on social media sites. These news are beneficial for the patients, medical professionals and the general public. A lot of health related data is available on the social media that may be used to extract significant information and present several predictions from it to assist physicians, patients and healthcare organizations for decision making. However, A little research is found on health news data using machine learning approaches, thus in this paper, we have proposed a framework for the data collection, modeling, and visualization of the health related patterns. For the analysis, the tweets of 13 news channels are collected from the Twitter. The dataset holds approximately 28k tweets available under 280 hashtags. Furthermore, a comprehensive set of experiments are performed to extract patterns from the data. A comparative analysis is carried among the baseline method and four classification algorithms which include Naive Bayes (NB), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Logistic Regression (LR), Decision Tree (J48). For the evaluation of the results, the standard measures accuracy, precision, recall and f-measure have been used. The results of the study are encouraging and better than the other studies of such kind.
The Sharing Economy is a fastest growing and heavily debated Socio economic model. In the platform-based sharing economy, the provider provides the service and the consumer using the service from a two-sided market. However, there is a lack of studies that cover the both sides of platform based sharing market. This study aims to examine the effect of Indulgence, trust, economic benefit, social interaction, enjoyment and sustainability on user and provider intention to engage in peer-to-peer sharing. This explanatory study uses a quantitative methodology involving data collection through structured questionnaire from service users (n=220) and service providers (n=170) of Uber and Careem by adopting snowball sampling technique. Structured Equation Modeling (SEM) was applied to analyze data by using AMOS 24. The empirical results of this study indicate that indulgence, social interaction, economic benefit and enjoyment have significant positive association with user and provider intention. Further, a positive relationship was found between provider trust in user and provider intention to engage in peer-to-peer sharing. This study makes its significant contribution by providing new insights to literature and practice by studying two sided market. In addition the study explored the effect of indulgence on peer-to-peer sharing intention which is found yet to be explored in the literature. This study suggests practical implications for the Marketing managers to develop effective platform business strategies and marketing campaigns in accordance with the individuals' intention to engage in sharing.
Burns cause many significant changes in metabolism and inflammatory reactions, leading to poor regeneration in animals and humans. A list of medicines to treat burns is available in the market. But due to the high cost of these medicines, these are unaffordable, especially for farmers of middle-class families of Africa and Asia. Therefore, a low-cost complementary treatment has always been a topic of many researchers, and there is a dire need of time for the welfare of animals to save them. The current study was planned to scrutinize the therapeutic effects of Manuka honey and Nitrofurazone ointments on full-thickness burn wounds in the rabbit model. The healing efficacy was performed through wound contraction rate, hematological analysis, the thickness of dermis and epidermis, and collagen content percentage. Histopathology was performed after taking biopsy samples at the end of the research. Based on statistical analysis using wound healing time (days, D), the combination (MO + NT) resulted in a shorter period (27 D ± 1) than the average healing time of controlled (36 ± 2), Manuka ointment (31.33 D ± 1.52), and Nitrofurazone ointment (32 ± 1). A significant decrease in the count of red blood cell (RBC), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), and mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH) in all treatments was noticed mainly in MO + NT. Furthermore, burns induced a significant difference (p < 0.05) in the white blood cells (WBCs) count levels in the MO-treated group. While the level of platelets (PLTs) was not significantly different from the healthy control group. Histopathological assessment (epithelialization, fibrosis, and angiogenesis) of skin showed burn healing to be better in MO and MO + NT groups. In conclusion, the composite of Manuka honey with Nitrofurazone led to the faster recovery than other treatments.
