HighlightsPatient with past history of abdominal blunt trauma presented with subacute intestinal obstruction caused by abdominal cocoon.Common aetiology for abdominal cocoon is subclinical peritonitis, in this case due to an unnoticed injury during blunt trauma.Diagnosis can made preoperatively with imaging.Treatment by adhesiolysis in obstructed cases.Recurrences are uncommon.
