Este trabajo presenta los resultados de la investigación sobre la vinculación comunitaria como un dispositivo didáctico y su incidencia en la formación sobre investigación intercultural en estudiantes de la licenciatura en Lengua y Cultura de la Universidad Intercultural de Chiapas [UNICH]. El estudio optó por la concepción metodológica cualitativa, de estudio de caso. Se realizaron entrevistas colectivas al estudiantado para conocer de cerca sus experiencias durante el proceso vinculatorio con la comunidad de enero a julio del 2018. Los resultados señalan que este trabajo debe seguirse utilizando como estrategia didáctica pues fortalece no solo la formación del estudiantado sino también el desarrollo de la investigación para resolver problemas locales en los Altos de Chiapas. Se identificaron una serie de obstáculos en el proceso formativo que dificultan un verdadero ejercicio de interacción con la comunidad; por ejemplo, que se cuenta con un currículo que no atiende con claridad las estrategias de introducción a la comunidad y de atención a sus problemas y que, por consiguiente, no desarrolla las competencias necesarias para la investigación ni desde la investigación-acción ni desde otra propuesta metodológica investigativa.
