Perubahan iklim menjadi fenomena yang menjadi perhatian dunia saat ini. Tidak hanya dampak langsung yang dirasakan seperti banjir dan kekeringan, tetapi juga dampak tidak langsung seperti kemiskinan, gagal panen, dan berkurangnya hasil tangkapan laut bagi para nelayan. Nelayan dan masyarakat pesisir menjadi salah satu entitas yang terkena dampak langsung dari perubahan iklim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1. mengkaji kondisi sosial ekonomi nelayan dan masyarakat pesisir di Kabupaten Malang, 2. mengkaji cara nelayan dan masyarakat pesisir bertahan menghadapi perubahan iklim, dan 3. mengkaji program pemerintah yang menjangkau nelayan dan masyarakat pesisir. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menyelidiki, menemukan, menggambarkan serta menjelaskan kondisi sesungguhnya yang terjadi di masyarakat. Temuan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah nelayan dan masyarakat pesisir mempunyai cara yang unik dalam menghadapi kondisi yang ada, terutama mengenai dampak perubahan iklim. Masyarakat dan pemerintah mempunyai kolaborasi yang unik dalam menghadapi berbagai persoalan yang terjadi. Kolaborasi yang dihasilkan ada yang menguntungkan dan ada yang tidak menguntungkan salah satu pihak. pola kemitraan yang tidak seimbang antara masyarakat dengan perhutani dalam hal pengelolaan kawasan pesisir menjadi salah satu contoh kolaborasi yang tidak seimbang.
