Abstract:In an increasingly competitive market, in addition to valuing customer satisfaction, it is necessary to invest in customer loyalty. Market professionals need to position their business goals and strategies in order to delight the consumer, especially the LGBT, who have their own needs and desires. Therefore, the present study aims to evaluate the loyalty of LGBT consumers in light of the Consumptive Consumption Theory, highlighting the Brazilian tourism sector, based on the Hyun and Han model (2015). To do so, a survey was applied, using a questionnaire directed to the LGBT public throughout Brazil, obtaining a sample of 101 respondents, among 21 Brazilian states. It could be observed that the loyalty of the LGBT consumer to a particular brand of tourism and, consequently, its propensity to pay a higher price is mainly related to conspicuous factors such as the status that travel will provide, to the perception of other consumers, a visibility to the traveler, and to the feeling of wellbeing and fulfillment for being able to enjoy these services.
