A logística humanitária é um ramo da logística que visa planejar, programar e controlar os estoques de produtos de uma forma economicamente eficiente e de baixo custo, além de monitorar o fluxo de mercadorias do ponto de origem ao ponto de consumo, a fim de conhecer e aliviar o sofrimento das vítimas de qualquer tipo de catástrofe ou emergências complexas em comunidades consideradas vulneráveis. Medidas preventivas e/ou corretivas podem ser tomadas através de modelos de processos para serem aplicados em operações pré e pós-catástrofes. Considerando a importância destes modelos dentro da logística humanitária para o sucesso das operações de resposta a desastres, este artigo tem como justificativa de elaboração a carência e necessidade dos países por tais modelos e como objetivo capturar o estado da arte neste campo do conhecimento utilizando XXXVII ENCONTRO NACIONAL DE ENGENHARIA DE PRODUCAO "A Engenharia de Produção e as novas tecnologias produtivas: indústria 4.0, manufatura aditiva e outras abordagens avançadas de produção"
