ResuméLes Figures du Lien sont présentées à partir de la métaphore des noeuds de marins. L'intérêt de cette métaphore est de bien faire ressentir que le lien est à la fois ce qui donne un ancrage, ce qui retient et maintient dans une relative stabilité, qui permet le mouvement dans un périmètre donné mais aussi ce qui empêche de sortir de ce périmètre, ce qui entrave, ce qui peut blesser à la longue lorsque l'on cherche à se libérer sans y parvenir, ce qui se défait plus ou moins facilement pour retrouver une liberté de mouvement. Le noeud fait aussi référence à la complexité du lien, il met ensemble, rassemble deux fils ou cordes à plusieurs fils ou plus encore. Il y a donc aussi dans cette métaphore le deux et le plus grand nombre. Il n'est pas d'être humain qui ne soit relié, allié, ne serait-ce que symboliquement même Robinson Crusoë. C'est dire l'importance de la thématique du lien dans la compréhension de notre processus de formation et de connaissance.
