Neste artigo, objetivamos discutir sobre princípios de ética e relações de poder em pesquisas acadêmicas realizadas no âmbito da Linguística Aplicada. Para tanto, partimos de uma perspectiva decolonial de língua e ética e articulamos as reflexões aqui tecidas com interpretações de dados obtidos em pesquisa de cunho etnográfico realizada nas séries iniciais do ensino fundamental de uma escola pública da região sudeste do Brasil. Nossas discussões se originam a partir da constatação da relação controversa que pode se estabelecer entre universidade e escola, na qual uma instância é tida como produtora e a outra, como consumidora de conhecimentos. A partir de nossa análise, argumentamos que a pesquisa etnográfica que transcende a elaboração de conhecimentos sobre a escola, visando à construção de conhecimentos com a escola, tem grande potencial para promover interações mais horizontais e dialógicas entre esta e a universidade. Concluímos a discussão com alguns questionamentos e provocações acerca do fazer ético de pesquisa em Linguística Aplicada.
Este artigo tem como objetivo contribuir para estudos acerca da formação docente para a educação linguística no âmbito da Linguística Aplicada, ao viabilizar discussões que apontam a autoetnografia como uma possibilidade epistemológica que leva em consideração as recentes transformações sociais e possibilita transformações outras. Nesse intuito, relacionamos conceitos referentes à autoetnografia e à formação docente e argumentamos que a autoetnografia pode contribuir para que professores assumam identificações que os considerem sujeitos críticos e produtores de conhecimentos. Em uma perspectiva autoetnográfica, resgatamos nosso encontro com a autoetnografia para demonstrar como esse contato tem contribuído para assumirmos novas identificações como agentes produtoras de conhecimento. As discussões aqui apresentadas são fruto das pesquisas de doutorado de duas professoras: uma de Língua Portuguesa e outra de Língua Inglesa, que desenvolveram estudos tendo a autoetnografia como viés teórico-metodológico. Este estudo destaca o potencial da autoetnografia ao configurar-se alternativa viável para amparar o fazer investigativo acerca da formação docente em Linguística Aplicada.
Ao defendermos o ensino-aprendizagem de línguas estrangeiras (LE) para crianças como parte do processo educacional, é fundamental discutirmos as diferentes formas de compreender língua e linguagem e as implicações dessas concepções para a ação docente. Assim, neste artigo, discutimos diferentes conceitos de língua e linguagem elaborados por duas teorias linguísticas: o estruturalismo e o pós-estruturalismo. Esta análise objetivou promover uma reflexão sobre possibilidades de embasamento de práticas direcionadas à educação de língua estrangeira para crianças, partindo do princípio de que, ainda que de maneira indireta, todo fazer docente é influenciado por determinada filosofia. Neste trabalho, discutimos propostas locais que enfatizam visões pós-estruturalistas. Sabendo que a linguagem é permeada por relações de poder e que língua e cultura são indissociáveis, julgamos que o professor de LE para crianças, ao refletir sobre as perspectivas apresentadas neste texto, terá melhores condições de assumir seu papel de educador, que busca não somente ensinar repertórios linguísticos, mas também contribuir para a formação de cidadãos conscientes de seu papel na sociedade.
Quando falamos sobre educação linguística em línguas estrangeiras com crianças, ainda há muito o que se discutir em relação a (a ausência de) documentos orientadores, regulamentação curricular, formação docente, entre outras questões (XXXX, 2018; XXXX, 2019). Faz-se relevante salientar, porém, que avanços nesse cenário vêm ocorrendo, especialmente nas últimas duas décadas, sobretudo quanto à formação docente e ao aumento de pesquisas relacionadas ao tema (ROCHA, 2006; TONELLI; PÁDUA; OLIVEIRA, 2017; TONELLI; KAWACHI-FURLAN, 2021, entre outras), conforme mapeamento do Grupo de Pesquisa Formação de Professores e Ensino de Línguas para Crianças (FELICE), com base na Universidade Estadual de Londrina. Esses estudos têm gerado reflexões que nos permitem compreender que teorias basilares em educação e em linguística aplicada, tais como a educação crítica freireana (FREIRE, 1996; 1997) e a translinguagem (CANAGARAJAH, 2017; YIP; GARCÍA, 2018; MACIEL; ROCHA, 2020), podem nos auxiliar nas práticas em sala de aula ao propor uma educação linguística com crianças de forma horizontal e dialógica (MONTE MÓR; NASCIMENTO, 2020). Em nossas práticas pedagógicas, percebemos que esse diálogo envolve um processo de escuta atenta (ARAGÃO, 2018), que não somente abre espaço para que as crianças assumam seu papel de sujeitos ativos no processo de construção de conhecimento (LÓPEZ-GOPAR, 2019), como também permite que nos formemos como educadoras enquanto educamos (FREIRE, 1996), na medida em que construímos conhecimentos acerca de nossa formação docente a partir da voz das crianças. Com isso em mente, lançamos um olhar autoetnográfico (MULIK, 2021) sobre nosso fazer docente e relatamos histórias de sala de aula que têm nos (trans)formado, provocando rupturas significativas em nosso fazer pedagógico, estimulando-nos a (re)pensar teorias, práticas e até mesmo a própria língua, colaborando com nossa práxis educacional em língua inglesa com as crianças.
