A adoção de métodos que exploram a perspectiva dos usuários finais e suas preferencias de uso pode contribuir para identificar requisitos de usabilidade adequados. Este artigo relata o uso de personas, histórias de usuários e diretrizes de usabilidade para especificar os requisitos de uma ferramenta de modelagem. Os métodos permitiram criar as personas que representam as pessoas que irão utilizar a ferramenta, identificar os requisitos potenciais das personas e enriquecê-las com aspectos de usabilidade. Este relato contribui no sentido de divulgar uma experiência prática de integração de técnicas de IHC no processo de desenvolvimento de sistemas interativos.
Desenvolver produtos que promovam qualidade de uso requer a adoção de técnicas de design centradas no usuário e que permitam aos designers expressar suas intenções de satisfazer às necessidades dos usuários. Notações propostas na área de IHC como HTA, CTT, MoLIC e USINN, visam explorar a perspectiva do usuário durante sua interação com o sistema, em vez de aspectos técnicos inerentes somente ao sistema e suas funcionalidades. A notação USINN propõe uma perspectiva de modelagem voltada à inserção de mecanismos de usabilidade ao longo da interação, como cancelar e desfazer ações, fornecer feedback sobre o progresso de ações, favoritar itens e estruturar a entrada de dados. Este artigo apresenta uma investigação sobre a percepção de designers de um projeto durante a adoção da notação USINN.
