Resumo: Os imigrantes Sírios e Libaneses chegaram ao Sul da Bahia, região do Cacau, ao final do século XIX e início do século XX em função das crises políticas que ocorriam em seus territórios e atraídos pela perspectiva do progresso que se evidenciava nessa região. A cidade de Ilhéus recebeu muitos desses imigrantes que fizeram desse espaço o seu novo lar. Esse fenômeno migracional foi registrado por vários autores de origem regional e percebido pelas pessoas da região em função de hábitos e costumes diferenciados trazidos por esses povos. As assimilações aconteceram, os imigrantes de primeira geração passaram a segunda, terceira e quarta gerações deixando um legado significativo para a cidade principalmente no comércio e na gastronomia. A análise desse fenômeno é desenvolvida nesse trabalho através de depoimentos, é embasada pelos conceitos de Imigração, Turismo e Globalização, bem como de hibridismo, pluralismo e identidade que subsidiam a discussão, no sentido de propor uma reflexão quanto à utilização, ao aproveitamento dessas histórias registradas para enriquecer o turismo cultural da cidade. Abstract: The Syria and Lebanese immigrants had arrived at the South of the Bahia, region of the Cacao, in the end of century XIX and beginning of century XX in function of the crisis politic that occurred in theirs territories and attracted by the perspective of the progress that was evidenced in this region. The city of Ilhéus received many of these immigrants who had made of this space theirs new home. This migratory phenomenon was registered for some authors of regional origin and perceived by the people of the region in function of habits and differentiated customs brought for these peoples. The assimilations had happened, the immigrants of first generation had passed to second, third and fourth generations giving a significant legacy for the city mainly in the commerce and the feeding. The analysis of this phenomenon is developed in this work through depositions based by the concepts of Immigration, Tourism and Globalization, as well as of hybridism, pluralism and identity that subsidize the quarrel, in the direction to consider a reflection about the use, the exploitation of these registered histories to enrich the cultural tourism of the city.
