Corporate social responsibility information assumes, in recent decades, a high importance to preparers and users has intensified since 2007, with the US financial crisis, reflected in Portugal since 2008. The growing volume of information presents several forms of dissemination aimed it is to promote actions that have an impact on business performance and reflection on the vision that stakeholders have of the company in the community in which it operates. The purpose of this article is to list different forms of information dissemination of corporate social responsibility and highlight the channels used strategically for this purpose. Cumulatively want to list advantages and disadvantages of the means to contribute to the questioning of the current use of resources for the promotion of socially responsible information. The methodology used was a literature review of recent studies in which it sought a general area of the state of the art. Cumulatively was used a descriptive research in domestic companies listed on the Lisbon values in the 1st half of 2016 in order to record, analyze and relate the facts established in the literature review in the Portuguese context. We conclude that there is a multitude of information disclosed by companies of their social responsibility: written and unwritten, financial and non-financial, and internal and external. The web pages and traditional reports seem to be the most used, although difficulties persist measure the quantitative report over the quality, it requires greater rigor to ensure superior quality in the produced social responsibility information.Keywords: Social responsibility. O crescente volume de informação apresenta várias formas de divulgação de ações que tenham impacto no desempenho das empresas e reflexo na visão dos stakeholders acerca da empresa na comunidade em que se insere. O objetivo deste artigo é elencar diferentes formas de divulgação de informação de responsabilidade social pelas empresas e destacar os canais usados estrategicamente para o efeito. Cumulativamente, são listadas vantagens e desvantagens dos meios utilizados para contribuir para o questionamento dos atuais recursos em uso para a divulgação da informação socialmente responsável. A metodologia adotada foi a análise bibliográfica de estudos recentes para levantar o estado da arte sobre o tema. Resumo Atualmente, as empresas utilizam a responsabilidade social como veículo de competição simultaneamente com outras estratégias organizacionais. Pela transversalidade e multidisciplinariedade do tema, a responsabilidade social é importante em vários domínios organizacionais, sendo o seu relato, particularmente o financeiro, um dos mais relevantes. Com base no seu relato financeiro, é possível determinar níveis de performance e fixar metas mais auspiciosas. Neste estudo, pretende-se verificar se as empresas portuguesas, que relatam informação de responsabilidade social no nível financeiro, são mais atrativas e se essa informação consegue potenciar performances empresariais. Para o efeito, foram aplicados 550 questionários a empresas nacionais, sem valores admitidos à cotação, com sede em Portugal continental, sendo que 344 foram validados e analisados aplicando-se uma estatística descritiva para apresentação de resultados. As principais reflexões indicaram que a falta de divulgação de informação social, humana e ambiental, nas empresas portuguesas, dificulta determinadas avaliações de performance pelos stakeholders, mas que, quando existe relato financeiro de informação socialmente responsável, esta impulsiona os resultados econômicos, a criação de valor e melhora a performance dessas empresas.
: The importance of developing this research is due to the fact of integrating reporting as a new practice, and concept and a new form of communicating information through accountability. Companies which adopt this form of communication need models, and the institution that regulates integrated reporting is making adjustments on a framework to help them to compile information. The objective of this study is to present the state of art giving the most important steps in the history of integrated reporting, and giving some points of view to verify in future research. In this study, we analyzed the evolution of integrated reporting revising the recent literature. First, we study the history, them the contents of integrated reporting and finally we discuss arguments in favour or against integrated reporting. We conclude that there are several advantages above the disadvantages that need to be improved to disseminate the form of doing integrated reporting all over the world for some kind of companies.
RESUMENLa importancia de la transmisión de información de responsabilidad social ha experimentado un notable crecimiento en los últimos años. De este modo, los canales y herramientas de comunicación utilizados son de diversa índole: de nivel social, económico, interno o externo de las organizaciones y otras formas como el etiquetado y rotulado. Así este artículo pretende traducir algunas de las formas más utilizadas por las empresas para la comunicación de la información de responsabilidad social, con especial atención al caso portugués. El derrumbe del socialismo, el desarrollo del ejercicio de una nueva soberanía a nivel mundial (Hardt y Negri 2000), la Tercera Revolución Industrial y la constitución de la sociedad en red (Castells 2009) o la sociedad del conocimiento (Drucker 2000) pueden citarse como los hechos más notables. "Esos factores han puesto al capitalismo, la empresa y el ejercicio del poder capitalista en un lugar hegemónico sin comparación alguna en su historia" (Cuevas, 2009). De este modo, tal como señala Cuevas (2009), las empresas asumen una mayor presión, pues, a la dimensión económica de la empresa se integra la del cuidado del medio ambiente y la social. Dentro de esta última, el cumplimiento de los derechos universales del hombre y la justicia social ocupan el primer plano. En un segundo nivel se encuentra la educación, la cultura y el deporte. La RSC en su implementación revela prácticas distintas ligadas al desarrollo sostenible: 1) etiquetas ecológicas, comercio justo y marketing ético o responsable, 2) la Inversión Socialmente Responsable; y 3) la evaluación de las políticas de RSC.
