Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo investigar as causas de prazer e sofrimento de entregadores de aplicativos. O estudo destaca-se por fomentar a compreensão do contexto de trabalho que dá origem às principais causas de adoecimento físico e mental dos entregadores por aplicativos, fornecendo subsídios para a psicodinâmica do trabalho, pela construção e análise da demanda e pelo atendimento diante do aumento desse grupo de trabalhadores. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, realizada mediante entrevistas semiestruturadas com 11 entregadores por aplicativos. O roteiro de entrevistas foi inspirado na Escala de Indicadores de Prazer e Sofrimento no Trabalho e na Escala de Avaliação dos danos relacionados ao trabalho ambas pertencentes ao inventário sobre trabalho e riscos de adoecimento, elaborado por Mendes e Ferreira (2007). Os resultados apontam que o trabalho proporciona prazer e sofrimento, embora sobressaiam situações em que os entregadores exponham sentimentos de sofrimentos associados à atividade que realizam. As principais motivações são sobrevivência e ausência de burocracia para iniciar a atividade, ainda que não ocorram direitos e garantias trabalhistas. Os danos causados pelo trabalho estão relacionados ao alto custo emocional, falta de motivação, vontade de desistir da atividade, solidão e dores no corpo e na cabeça. Este estudo contribui para o campo científico do prazer e sofrimento do trabalho, enfatizando que existe a necessidade de políticas públicas para uma formalização nessa categoria de trabalho para garantir as suas necessidades básicas.

Os principais resultados apontam que o contexto de trabalho é marcado por cobrança por resultados, certo esforço físico, uso acentuado da memória e da atenção, especialmente por conta do trânsito. O custo afetivo da atividade é alto, marcado, muitas vezes, por constrangimentos, humilhações, discriminação e alguns xingamentos por parte dos estabelecimentos. O estudo se destaca por fomentar a compreensão do contexto de trabalho que dão origem às principais causas de adoecimento físico e mental dos entregadores por aplicativos, fornecendo subsídios para a psicodinâmica do trabalho, justamente pela construção e análise da demanda e no atendimento diante do aumento desse grupo de trabalhadores. Constata-se a necessidade de desenvolvimento de políticas para que os entregadores não dependam somente dos termos ditados pelas políticas dos aplicativos para dar uma segurança em caso de acidentes de trabalho. Além de assegurar o respeito pelo trabalho desempenhado, no qual o trabalhador passa por constante constrangimentos.
