A realização de exames laboratoriais durante o pré-natal se resume no acompanhamento da gestante, auxiliando como um momento de aprendizagem para a mulher e sua família e permite, ainda, detectar anormalidades com a mãe e a criança. O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar o perfil da realização dos exames laboratoriais por gestantes durante o pré-natal no Centro de Saúde de Lago Verde-MA. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa de caráter descritivo, transversal com abordagem quantitativa, onde foram coletados os dados através de questionário, durante o mês de outubro de 2012. Foram 100 entrevistadas do qual 88% realizaram os exames de pré-natal, 97% acham importante a realização de exames durante o pré-natal e os principais exames realizados são o Hemograma completo com 83%, Glicemia e VDRL ambos com 73%, Colpocitologia oncótica com 15%. Conclui-se que os exames laboratoriais durante o pré-natal são de extrema importância para a gestante, e do comprometimento dos profissionais em solicitar estes exames às gestantes. Acredita-se que adequar assistência ao pré-natal com a realização de exames laboratoriais, vê-se que às necessidades na gestante é fundamental para que esta seja esclarecida sobre os adventos da gravidez e os cuidados com seu bebê.
