Objetivo: Conhecer o vivido de profissionais da equipe de enfermagem do setor de quimioterapia de um hospital oncológico. Métodos: Estudo descritivo de natureza qualitativa, tendo como cenário um hospital referência em diagnóstico e tratamento de pacientes com câncer na Zona da Mata Mineira. Participaram nove profissionais com entrevista aberta nos meses de maio/junho de 2016. Resultados: Da análise compreensiva emergiram as seguintes Unidades de Significado: Sentimentos do profissional ao vivenciar com pacientes o tratamento quimioterápico; Enfrentamento dos profissionais diante dos sentimentos vivenciados; e O significado de atuar na oncologia. Conclusão: A equipe de enfermagem apresenta forte envolvimento com as pessoas que realizam esta modalidade de tratamento, e esta relação influencia muito o dia a dia destes profissionais, seja de forma negativa ou positiva, tanto dentro do serviço quanto na vida pessoal. O reconhecimento das diversas formas de sofrimento se faz importante para delinear planos de cuidados para os mesmos.Palavras-chave: Enfermagem oncológica, quimioterapia, equipe de enfermagem.
Objetivou-se refletir sobre a assistência da equipe de enfermagem prestada ao portador de doença oncológica e suas implicações para a saúde destes profissionais. Métodos: Revisar a literatura sobre a temática. Resultados: Selecionados artigos versando sobre a assistência de enfermagem ao paciente oncológico e a equipe de enfermagem no enfrentamento, riscos ocupacionais e qualidade de vida. Conclusão: Destaca-se ser necessário que se tenha boa saúde física e mental para enfrentar a rotina laboral e prestar cuidados de enfermagem de modo integral, humanizado e de qualidade a pessoas acometidas por doença oncológica.Palavras-chave: Enfermagem oncológica, riscos ocupacionais, qualidade de vida, cuidados de enfermagem.
