The Internet of Things (IoT) is a popular concept in today's information technology world. The Internet of Things will transform everyday objects into intelligent virtual ones in the future. As a result of the Internet of Things (IoT), we will be able to monitor and control everything in our environment from a single point. An examination of the history of the Internet of Things shows that the number of IoT devices has increased recently and is expected to increase dramatically in the coming years, indicating that the Internet of Things will interact with every aspect of our lives. Home automation and cloud-based industry applications are just two examples of IoT's wide range of applications. This paper looks back at some of the key moments in the history of the Internet of Things. In addition, a number of cutting-edge IoT applications are discussed in this article. In the future, this research will be helpful and useful in the field of IoT.
