INTRODUÇÃOA epígrafe eleita remete ao conto Sequência (ROSA, 1962, apud BOSI, 2003, que tematiza a busca dificultosa de uma vaquinha pitanga, uma rês fujã (que viajava que nem uma criatura cristã) e de um senhor-moço que, no vão do mundo, ia, atrás dela, sem saber para onde, com vontade de desistir. E Bosi (2003, p. 45), interpretando o sentido das travessias de Guimarães Rosa, sentencia "Quem elegeu a busca não pode recusar a travessia.". É sobre uma busca, igualmente dificultosa, de um projeto de pesquisa de natureza híbrida -Linguística e Educação, no curso de uma década, que este artigo se debruça, mostrando também a travessia que não pôde recusar-se a empreender.A primeira questão mobilizadora deste estudo foi a percepção intuitiva e cotidiana de uma crise das práticas interacionais e linguísticas em instâncias públicas em nossa * Professor Associado. Através das análises, foi possível identificar a forte presença de grupos neoliberais, neoconservadores e fundamentalistas religiosos em nossa educação e também traçar o perfil docente segundo os defensores do Movimento: doutrinador, manipulador, influenciador, explorador, criminoso, autoritário, opressor e esquerdista. A falácia da neutralidade do ensino é uma tentativa de calar a voz de uma classe que representa 2,5 milhões de profissionais. Diante desse cenário, faz-se necessário repensar os cursos de formação docente. O futuro professor precisa reconhecer-se como profissional e intelectual para conseguir formar alunos conscientes de seu papel e de sua importância na sociedade. Palavras-chave: Escola sem Partido.
