Este artigo examina a geopoética contida na narrativa euclidiana a respeito do sertão nordestino, tendo como base o livro Os sertões. Obra original e inquietante foi responsável por trazer outro olhar sobre o interior do país, apresentando aos seus leitores um Brasil profundo onde as utopias de progresso e civilização encontravam a resistência tanto nos homens como na terra. Homem de letras e ciências, designado para acompanhar o episódio final protagonizado pelo exército nacional que combatia os sertanejos na vila de Canudos, interior da Bahia, acabou por deparar-se com questões sociais relacionadas ao abandono por parte do Estado e as intempéries da terra. Crítico e reflexivo teve que refazer muitos dos seus conceitos sobre as transformações por que passava o Brasil naquele período, em especial da vida em locais onde o meio físico se apresenta de forma tão intensa como é o caso do sertão baiano. Vista de forma integral o cenário descrito pelo autor vai além da aridez com que se construiu ao longo dos anos a imagem feita sobre o sertão e o sertanejo, pintando com palavras a transformação da natureza no nordeste do país.
A presente pesquisa tem como fundamento a análise da condição, sobretudo, social, das personagens protagonistas em Vidas secas (2020) e A terra dos meninos pelados (2018), de Graciliano Ramos. A partir dessa análise é abordada a questão da exclusão, identidade e cultura, considerando os motivos que tornaram as personagens excluídas da sociedade. Assim, a pesquisa elaborada é de cunho qualitativo com estudo bibliográfico, contemplando uma proposta pedagógica para ser utilizada com um público de Ensino Fundamental ou Médio. Nota-se que os escritos estudados são indispensáveis para o ensino de literatura, já que trata da temática de exclusão social, uma causada pela situação econômica e outra pela condição física e, ao mesmo tempo, diz respeito a indagações identitárias e culturais desses indivíduos. Logo, por meio dessas premissas observadas foi válido sugerir uma atividade baseada nessas narrativas, que trabalhe com exclusão, identidade e cultura, para demonstrar a vasta diversidade do comportamento e estado humano que nem todos possuem visão e, por fim, promover a inclusão social. Para este estudo, temos como base teórica publicações de Cassier (2012), Fernandes (2020), Pavloski (2012), Pio (2020), Silva (2000), entre outros.
O presente artigo tem como foco os livros Concerto Campestre (1997), de Luiz Antonio Assis Brasil, e Olhai os lírios do campo (1938), de Erico Verissimo. Por meio de autores como Assis Brasil, Marcelo Spalding e José Veríssimo, serão realizadas a contextualização das obras, a análise de criatividade e a construção de identidade, focando no egocentrismo e na transgressão dos casais protagonistas de ambos os livros.
