No início dos anos 2000, a Educação Financeira (EF) começou a ganhar destaque em âmbito internacional, a partir de uma pesquisa desenvolvida pela Organização para a Cooperação e Desenvolvimento Econômico (OCDE). Em 2010, com a Estratégia Nacional de Educação Financeira (Enef), esta temática chega aos documentos oficiais brasileiros, gerando alguns primeiros movimentos na busca de um educar financeiramente os cidadãos. Mais recentemente, com a homologação da Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) para as etapas do Ensino Fundamental, em 2017, e do Ensino Médio, em 2018, a EF ganha mais espaço na Educação Básica. Tendo em vista este cenário, este artigo visa discutir as compreensões que estudantes dos Anos Iniciais e Finais do Ensino Fundamental e do Ensino Médio possuem acerca da expressão Educação Financeira. Assumindo os pressupostos da pesquisa qualitativa, foram desenvolvidos e aplicados questionários a 222 alunos de uma escola particular do interior do estado de São Paulo. A análise dos dados ocorreu mediante a elaboração de categorias de codificação e os resultados indicam que os alunos investigados percebem a EF na escola como um espaço que possibilita a discussão sobre organização pessoal, operações em situações de compra, consumo e investimentos.
No que diz respeito ao ensino da Matemática, o uso de diferentes tipos de raciocínio é relevante para que o aluno tenha um panorama completo de como a Matemática é construída. Neste artigo compartilhamos resultados de uma pesquisa cujo objetivo foi compreender se, e de que modo, diferentes tipos de raciocínio – dedutivo, indutivo, abdutivo e analógico – se fazem presentes nos capítulos de Geometria de 21 Livros Didáticos de Matemática do Ensino Médio, aprovados pelo Programa Nacional do Livro e do Material Didático (PNLD) de 2018. Assumimos uma abordagem qualitativa de cunho documental e, como referencial teórico, utilizamos as ideias de raciocínio propostas por David Reid e Christine Knipping. As conclusões indicaram que nem todos os livros apresentam os quatro tipos de raciocínio e que há uma maior abordagem dedutiva e indutiva, em detrimento dos outros tipos. Concluímos, também, que nenhuma coleção analisada propõe uma conexão entre os diferentes raciocínios, assim como não defendem a importância de seus usos.
A Matemática no Ensino Superior tende a ser ensinada de maneira tradicional, na qual o professor é o responsável por transmitir o conhecimento e os estudantes são apenas receptores, semresponsabilidade e sem participação em seu processo de aprendizagem. Visando explorar metodologias que contraponham este modelo de ensino, neste artigo, discutimos possibilidades detarefas investigativas acerca de conceitos matemáticos vistos nas disciplinas de Cálculo Diferencial e Integral e Análise Matemática, em particular o Teorema do Valor Intermediário. Assim, apresentamose analisamos um exemplo de atividade desenvolvida a partir de construções com o software GeoGebra. Para tal, assumimos uma abordagem qualitativa de pesquisa e, como lente teórica, aproposta de Cenários para Investigação, a qual traz como principal característica, a abertura para cooperação investigativa por meio do diálogo. Como resultados, concluímos que, de fato, é possívelenvolver estudantes do Ensino Superior em ambientes de aprendizagem investigativos, e ressaltamos a importância do software para a manutenção do diálogo, o qual dá suporte para a produção do conhecimento matemático.
As transformações nos processos de ensino e aprendizagem são constantes, e estão presentes no tratamento da Geometria em sala de aula. É um campo que costuma ser causa de dificuldades dos alunos, e também dos professores, tanto em seu entendimento como na forma de ensiná-lo. Hoje nota-se que este conteúdo ainda é motivo de várias discussões e pesquisas, focando aspectos como uso de materiais manipulativos e tecnologia, visualização espacial, tratamento conceitual, entre outros. Diante desse cenário, e considerando que o livro didático é o material didático mais utilizado pelos professores como suporte às suas aulas, uma pesquisa, de abordagem qualitativa, foi desenvolvida visando analisar livros de Matemática utilizados na Rede Municipal de Rio Claro - SP, no 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental, e aprovados pelo PNLD. Este texto compartilha, então, parte dos seus resultados, focando na relação entre os aspectos cotidianos e a Geometria. O foco aqui não é a análise do livro em si, mas aprofundar a análise dessa relação, a partir de exemplos presentes nos livros estudados previamente. Os resultados indicam que essa relação aparece de forma natural em muitos exercícios, que exploram a nomenclatura das figuras geométricas a partir da sua semelhança com objetos cotidianos, sejam eles bidimensionais ou tridimensionais. Há questões que vão além do tratamento dos conceitos geométricos, abordando por exemplo, temas transversais e situações cotidianas como o significado das placas de trânsito (e não apenas sua forma). Materiais concretos também são sugeridos pelos autores para a manipulação dos alunos, bem como a exploração de situações problemas. Questões como essas podem contribuir para a reflexão do professor sobre sua prática no tratamento da Geometria, como também da escolha dos livros.
