O objetivo deste estudo foi mapear e analisar o que vem sendo discutido nas teses e dissertações que produzem saberes relacionados com a Educação Física Escolar, inspirando-se nos pressupostos da pesquisa participante. Foi realizada uma busca no catálogo de teses e dissertações da Capes. Ao final do processo, foram selecionadas 24 pesquisas relacionadas com o tema. O material empírico foi submetido a análise temática. Os resultados evidenciaram que essas investigações foram produzidas a partir de dois temas, sendo que o primeiro engloba pesquisas participantes inspiradas em intervenções didático-pedagógicas e o segundo em pesquisas participantes que se inspiram em ações coletivas para transformar a realidade da prática político-pedagógica, na perspectiva de alcançar a justiça social. Concluímos que essas pesquisas têm sido muito potentes para evidenciar o trabalho dos professores e das professoras de Educação Física que lecionam na Educação Básica.
O objetivo deste ensaio tem seu foco na constituição histórica do conhecimento da área refletindo sobre as experiências pedagógicas que acontecem no momento de pandemia nas aulas de Educação Física escolar, na tentativa de compreender quais “Educações Físicas escolares” estamos vivendo e quais os possíveis rumos que elas podem tomar no pós-pandemia. Tais reflexões trouxeram três temas que podem ajudar o debate sobre a legitimidade da área no pós-pandemia, sendo: o cuidado com o aspecto social de cada estudante, a utilização das tecnologias educacionais como meio de problematização das práticas corporais e as vivências dos gestos das manifestações da cultura corporal com sentido e significado, deixando de lado a reprodução de movimentos de forma instrumental. Assim, compreendemos que muitas Educações Físicas críticas e libertadoras estão acontecendo durante a pandemia viabilizadas por docentes que buscam tornar o pedagógico intencionalmente político, almejando que os(as) estudantes sejam cidadãos(ãs) reflexivos(as) e ativos(as) no mundo.
