RESUMO Considerando as imagens nos livros didáticos de língua inglesa na atualidade, este artigo objetiva analisar a relevância que essas têm para a realização de atividades neles propostas por parte dos alunos. O trabalho visa também refletir sobre a importância de oferecer a audiodescrição a fim de possibilitar que pessoas com deficiência visual realizem essas mesmas atividades de forma autônoma. Para nortear a análise, apoiamo-nos no conceito de tradução trazido por Roman Jakobson (2007), mais especialmente nas reflexões sobre tradução intersemiótica. Também consideramos a definição de letramento visual proposta por Stokes (2002). Foi possível concluir, a partir da análise de um livro didático da coleção Story Central (2015), que a compreensão das imagens é essencial para que o aluno realize as atividades propostas nesse livro. Acreditamos que a audiodescrição é o caminho para que o aluno com deficiência visual seja incluído de maneira efetiva no contexto escolar e receba o devido estímulo à aprendizagem.
ResumoO presente artigo traz os resultados de uma pesquisa que teve como inalidade veriicar o grau de êxito da compreensão do discurso oral docente de aprendizes de língua inglesa de nível de proiciência B2, conforme classiicação sugerida pelo Quadro Comum Europeu. Também objetivou identiicar as percepções de docentes e discentes de como deve ser a enunciação oral do professor para que haja promoção efetiva do desenvolvimento da habilidade de compreensão dos aprendizes. O propósito deste estudo foi o de comparar a percepção dos dois grupos, bem como contrastar essas opiniões com o grau de êxito da compreensão e com a inalidade didática do discurso docente. A análise e a discussão dos dados foram realizadas sob a luz da perspectiva sociointeracionista de Vygotsky, da teoria enunciativa de Benveniste e do conceito de aprendizagem signiicativa de Ausubel. ResumoNeste artigo, analisamos o trailer do filme Rio à luz da teoria enunciativa de Bakhtin e, a partir desta perspectiva, sugerimos que esse gênero discursivo esteja presente nas aulas de língua estrangeira. AbstractIn this article, we analyze the movie trailer Rio through Bakhtin's theory of the utterance. From this perspective, we then suggest that this speech genre be used in foreign language classes.
