A expressão corporal e as manifestações culturais inter-relacionam-se durante o processo de vivência da Ginástica para Todos (GPT). Considerando a composição coreográfica (CC) como um dos fundamentos que marcam essa prática (TOLEDO et al., 2014) e como um lugar no qual as expressões culturais (grupais, locais ou nacionais) se manifestam (PEREZ-GALLARDO, 1995; FIG, 2018), este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar os estudos desenvolvidos sobre a GPT num contexto regional, a partir dos diálogos com a eco-história, refletindo sobre as questões geográficas (como o cerrado brasileiro), e as imbricações com a CC na GPT. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, do tipo estudo de caso, que aborda as produções de CC em GPT, e as experiências e propostas do Grupo de Ginástica Cignus (teóricas e coreográficas - já publicadas). Assim, traz como fonte de pesquisa tanto os referenciais teóricos, como as imagens (vídeos) de 3 CCs deste grupo. Identificou-se que este grupo desmitifica a cultura cerratense por meio de suas CCs de GPT, dado que traz temas transversais a esta cultura (saindo do senso comum), assim como, temas que são cotidianos e esta cultura, mas também presente em outras, como a escravidão e a miscigenação.
