The purpose of this research was to determine how the covid-19 epidemic affected early childhood cognitive development. Principals, instructors, parents, and students served as informants in this study. The data collection techniques used in this study were inquiry in interview which were carried out to find out several things related to the impact of Covid-19 on students' cognitive development. The descriptive qualitative method was employed to analyze the data. The findings revealed that the cognitive development students during online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, fell into the capable and quite capable categories in terms of problem-solving skills, logical thinking skills, and symbolic thinking skills. students' cognitive development is achieved because teachers make every effort to give learning materials or tasks that encourage students' cognitive development. The presence of certain parents who are less supportive or do not participate in the online learning system has another impact on children's cognitive development. Students do not do the assignments given by the teacher because there is no guidance due to busy parents so that there are differences in cognitive development between one student and another
One of the health and social problems facing in Indonesia is the low nutritional status of the The health and social problems in Indonesia is the low nutritional status of the community. Nutrients have strong relationship with health and intelligence as well as development of the children. If the dietary habit is not reached perfectly, it can disturb the future growth. This study was aimed to determine the relationship between dietary habits to the nutritional status of pre-school children in PAUD Tunas Mulya Claket Village Pacet Mojokerto.This study was used correlation analytic design with cross sectional approach. The populations were all mothers and preschool children in PAUD Tunas MulyaClaket Village Pacet Mojokerto as amount 17 children. The sampling technique was used total sampling. The results of this study were suggested that most of preschoolers had good dietary habits those were11 children (64.7% of respondents), and almost all preschool children had normal nutritional status those were13 children (76.4% of respondents).From 6 respondentswho had not good dietary habits, no one (0%) had overweight nutritional status, and9 respondents (81.8%) had good dietaryhabits, they had normal nutritional status.The data analysis was used Spearman's rho test with ρ value (0.038) <α (0.05) so that H0 rejected and H1 accepted means that there was relationship between dietary habits and nutritional status of preschool children in PAUD Tunas Mulya Claket Village Pacet Mojokerto. Nutritional status was determined by the adequacy of the food and the ability of the body that contain the nutrients necessary for health so that needed good diet to get the normal nutritional status. Health workers must monitor children's nutrition through IHC.
<p><strong><em>Background: </em></strong><em>Supporting of baby growth must be done in a comprehensive and quality manner that can be done through stimulation activities. Stimulation that is easily given actively to infants can be through tactile stimulation in the form of massages. Massage therapy can be combined with water therapy, which is a baby spa. Baby spas can be used to support the success of sensory skills, fine motor skills and gross motor skills.</em></p><p><strong><em>Objective: </em></strong><em>The study was to determine the effectiveness of Baby Spa on sensory skills, fine motor skills and gross motor skills in children aged 6-24 months.</em></p><p><strong><em>Method: </em></strong><em>The design used in this study was a pre-experimental design with a two-group pre-post-test approach. The variables in this study are the baby spa, sensory skills, fine motor skills and gross motor skills. Respondents were children aged 6 to 24 months totaling 29 children for the treatment group and 29 children for the control group. The treatment group will be treated eight times (2 times baby spa and six times massage). Previously conducted a pre-test, then after eight treatments carried out a post-test with an observation of sensory skills, fine motor skills and gross motor skills — data analysis using the Mann-Whitney test.</em></p><p><strong><em>Results: </em></strong><em>The results of data analysis on the sensory skill obtained p-value = 0.962 indicates that the baby spa is less effective against increasing sensory skills, while the fine motor skill p-value = 0,000 and gross motor skill obtained p-value = 0,000 means that the baby spa is effective against increasing fine motor skills and gross motor skills in children aged 6 to 24 months.</em></p><p><strong><em>Conclusion: </em></strong><em>That the Baby Spa is very effective against increasing fine motor skills and gross motor skills but the sensory skills are less effective. So you need sensory </em><em>skill stimulation with baby spas and other methods.</em><strong><em><br /></em></strong><em></em><em></em></p>
Pembinaan tumbuh kembang bayi harus dilakukan secara komprehensif dan berkualitas yang dapat dilakukan melalui kegiatan stimulasi atau rangsangan. Stimulasi rangsangan yang mudah diberikan secara aktif pada bayi dapat melalui stimulasi taktil yaitu dalam bentuk pijatan. Baby massage merupakan terapi tubuh dengan menggunakan pijitan. Bayi yang diterapi dengan massage akan terlihat lebih segar, sehat dan bersemangat. Manfaat lain yang didapatkan massage pada bayi adalah meningkatkan gerakan motorik kasar dan halus bayi, meningkatkan kemampuan pancaindera, menambah nafsu makan, meningkatkan kualitas tidur bayi dan meningkatkan imunitas bayi (1). Gross motor skill atau kemampuan motorik kasar adalah kemampuan untuk membuat gerakan yang melibatkan otot-otot besar dan membentuk sikap tubuh seperti mengangkat kepala, sedangkan fine motor skill atau motorik halus kemampuan untuk membuat gerakan lebih halus dan melibatkan keluwesan otot-otot kecil seperti untuk mengambil benda kecil dengan jari-jari. Di dalam pelatihan Baby Massage yang dilakukan di Posyandu Plososari, Puri Mojokerto, akan didemonstrasikan teknik baby massage kepada ibu yang memiliki anak usia 6 – 24 bulan. Diharapkan setelah mendapat pelatihan baby massage, peserta dapat melakukan baby massage secara mandiri di rumah guna meningkatkan bonding attachment. KATA KUNCI Baby massage, stimulasi
Folic acid is very important especially in the early days of pregnancy, because at that time the nervous system of a baby is being formed. Folic acid deficiency causes babies born with cleft lip, babies born with low weight, down's syndrome, and miscarriage. The purpose of this study was to determine the motivation of pregnant women to consume folic acid in the Village Kebonagung Porong Sidoarjo. This research is a descriptive study. Population in this study sample of 41 respondents who used as many as 41 respondents drawn with total sampling technique. After the analysis of data collected by the data editing, coding, scoring, tabulating. The results motivate pregnant women to consume folic acid in the Village Kebonagung Porong Sidoarjo in 2013 showed that of the 41 respondents largely motivated weak as many as 20 respondents (48.8%) and the fraction that is strongly motivated by 8 respondents (19.5%) . Weak motivation is manifested in the form of a weak desire to consume folic acid as part of a much-needed nutrients pregnant women in the developing baby. Motivation studies in pregnant women taking folic acid in the Village Kebonagung Porong Sidoarjo in 2013 showed that of the 41 respondents largely motivated weak. That mothers should increase motivation in consuming foods that contain lots of folic acid for the health of the mother and fetus were conceived.
